Bahamian Sentenced to 18 Months Incarceration

West Palm Beach, Fla. - On August 23, Lynx Jones, a Bahamian citizen, was sentenced to 18 months incarceration, 48 months supervised release, and charged a $100 special assessment for violation of Title 21 United States Code, Section 952, Importation of a Controlled Substance, namely marijuana in excess of 100 kilograms. Baltimore - Customs and Border Protection officers at Baltimore Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport (BWI) seized $30,000 Friday from a Nigerian man for violating federal currency reporting regulations.The passenger, who arrived to BWI from London and was destined for Baltimore, repeatedly declared possessing only $9,000.
