The Bush administration's capitulation to the cheap-labor lobby has reached a new low. We didn't think it was possible. But here it is.

Attorney General Alberto R. Gonzales would solve the wholesale flouting of the law by 11 million or more illegal immigrants with the simplest of expedients:

Change the law -- grant amnesty by establishing a guest-worker program.

Presto-chango, there you have it.

"There is a broad consensus in America on the issue of immigration. Extreme views, however, are polarizing the debate and preventing mainstream voices from being heard," he writes.

Outrageous!

The consensus was expressed by the House -- the most representative federal body. The House voted for strict enforcement of immigration law, border fences and against guest-worker amnesty.

That the administration has had trouble inculcating its views into the body politic is testament of its incompetence as a communicator or the bankruptcy of its policy. The president has the bulliest pulpit in the world and he has failed.

Finally, this isn't just about any kind of law -- such as whether the tax rate will be 10 percent or 15 percent. This is about law essential to the republic. When the will to defend the borders withers, and when the import of being an American citizen is depreciated, what comes next?

With a hard shove by Mr. Gonzales, the ideals of nationhood and the principle of sovereignty come next.

Just another member of Benedict Arnold's cabinet who is an integral part of Comrade Bush's Globalist Manifesto. Why do you think he was selected for the attorney general position to replace John Ashcroft? I am willing to bet one of the reasons Ashcroft left was his lack of support for "Mussolini" Bush's one-world policy.

No, you're just not listening...we are the mainstream voices and we will not be made to shut up, no matter how much you ignore us!!!!

Gonzales was GROOMED to be in this position! They have waited many years to get one of their members into such a high position.

QUESTION: wonder if Gonzales family had/has any ties to Jeb Bush's wife's family?
