Hundreds protest Grijalva's call for boycott

TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - Boycott Arizona? We'll boycott you! That's the message some tea-party members had for our local congressman Congressman Raul Grijalva.
Grijalva's been pushing for an economic boycott of his own state since the governor signed the immigration law. Grijalva is up for re-election this November and people who we met today are determined to unseat him. A big crowd gathered in front of Grijalva's office Saturday morning.
These folks are also upset about Grijalva's backing of the Arizona boycott.
"It's what the truth seems to be. His job is to represent Arizona and represent the people but at the moment he seems to be resenting Arizona and working against them," David Rackey, a tea party supporter, said.
KGUN 9 News asked the chairman of the Pima County Republican Party if he thinks this rally will help Grijalva change his position on the boycott issue.
"No I don't think so but he needs to know how we feel about it," Bob Westerman said.
Across town some prominent democrats were having a rally of their own. KGUN 9 News caught it the Pima County Democratic Party chairman Jeff Rogers.
"Probably right now this election cycle is the most important race in the entire state of Arizona," Rogers said.
KGUN 9 News asked Rogers what he thought about the Tea Party's protest earlier in the morning.
"I have every confidence he'll be reelected by a wide margin. The republicans don't even take running against congressman Grijalva seriously," Rogers said.
Both sides of the aisle are gearing up for a fight in these elections and will continue to host rallies until election day November 2nd.

You can't
You can't have racists like Grijalva putting the interests of his particular ethnic group, foreign nationals who have illegally entered the U S no less, ahead of those of the Citizens he is supposed to represent.
You people need to recall that man. Clearly this is the case with him calling for a boycott.
Do not bother serving in our system if your Race "Raza" comes first. Equality and Rule of law.

Thank you for some sanity! Exactly - the racism needs to stop - from all parties, not just the La Raza types. It is un-American, contrary to our national ideals and leads us all to the Maywood USA future.

Grijalva needs to GO! Could be some good volunteering opportunity in late October in sunny AZ.

Is anyone running against Grivalia ? If so, Who ? Dem,Repub or both.
I would think he is a easy target this time around and a chance to pick off a member of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus who does not represent citizens who they swore to serve. They represent Mexico instead."A Government big enough to give you everything you want,is strong enough to take everything you have"* Thomas Jefferson

He would probably sneak back in with his new found future voters...

This year there there are 4 Repubs facing off in an August primary. This is still fruitless as no Dem will ever challange Grijalva and the distict is gerrymandered to help Grijalva being majority democrat and Hispanic. So until Grijalva chokes on some food and dies, he has this seat for life.
They are also grooming his replacement with radical board of supervisor member Richart Elias. We're doomed.Illegal aliens remain exempt from American laws, while they DEMAND American rights...
