Asheville City Councilman Carl Mumpower contributed part of the $1,500 cost of the billboards, which also shows a Mexican flag flying above the inverted U.S. flag.
You know $1,500 doesn't sound like too much if you had a couple of dozen people chipping in. A lot of groups need to be doing this.

When I first saw this picture I was enraged along with many other american citizens. I am sure we all had the same thought "What the heck is going on here, this is our country not theirs, how dare they" I think that about sums it up. This billboard will enrage other american citizens who live under a rock and did not catch it the first time. The illegals are angry and threatened because it flagrantly displays their stupidity and their entitlement attitude about our country. Not to mention the slap in the face to all american citizens.

I think they did a brilliant job. Worked exactly the way it was intended.
I don't care what you call me, so long as you call me AMERICAN.

If we could just somehow get the sleeping Americans on board. We'd stand a much better chance of turning this issue around in a heartbeat.
    Bearpaw,

You are correct. Who knows, maybe if this same type of sign appeared all over the nation, it may wake up the "sheeple".

I was sent, via email, the photo of the inverted American flag flying beneath the Mexican flag along with a handful of other photos taken during the first demonstrations. The site was a California middle school or high school. The other pictures clearly showed that some students had taken down the American flag that had been flying over the school and then raised the Mexican flag first with the U.S. flag under it.

The email contained comments of outraged citizens viewing these pictures. One of the comments was that these were pictures that we'd never see on the national news, and that was certainly correct.

The article definitely should have included this information. "Had enough?" on the billboard is clear if a person knows the circumstances of the photo. The answer is: Yes, we've had enough of the lack of respect that illegals and those who support them have for the United States and its citizens.

Perhaps some North Carolina activist should write a letter to the editor. I have signed up for the blog.

The actual flag picture was snapped at Los Angeles high school on one of the student walkout protest days I want to say May 1. I'll check the sources and get back to you on that but the picture is real and it came from a high school.
