McALLEN — Seventy miles of border fence will be built by the end of the year, but none of it in Texas, U.S. Border Patrol Chief David Aguilar told local officials on Monday.

You have the year wrong there... try 3008

The rest of the 370 miles of proposed fence, which includes 135 miles in Texas, is still in the design phase but won’t be built until the end of 2008, the nation’s top border patrol official said.

What's this 370 mile crap? A bill approving 700+ miles has already been written into law. What happened to that fence? It has become crystal clear that our U.S. Congress and President Bush are not people of honor. Are we really supposed to believe anything they say regarding the so-called "triggers" and security aspects of this new amnesty bill? Of course not, the individuals making the decisions cannot be trusted!

The 370 mile you speak of is designated as part of the bill our great friend Duncan Hunter got passed. The other half of the 700 miles has been designated as part of the Border Security provisions in the latest Immigration Reform Bill the Senate voted on last night. I heard Duncan Hunter on the radio today and that's what he stated. But he aims to see to it that the whole 700 miles is not part of any provision in the bill.

That's as it should be. What purpose does it serve to include 370 miles of Hunter's fence in the bill? That fencing has already been signed into law. This is all smoke and mirrors to make the bill look tougher on border security than it actually is. Just another scam on the American people. Of course I guess we shouldn't be surprised.
