WASHINGTON — A bill that would honor slain U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agent Jaime Zapata was introduced in the House and backed Friday by Texas lawmakers.
The bill would authorize Congress to fund and oversee law enforcement teams consisting of federal, state and local officers to better to improve information sharing and better coordinate investigations into smuggling and trafficking along the Southwest border.
Teams consisting of federal, state and local law enforcement agents, known as BEST Units, are currently under the direction of the Department of Homeland Security. The bill would give lawmakers a bigger role in directing funding, and more oversight.

I don't know... IMO the way to really honor Agent Zapata would be to refuse to send any more of OUR agents into Messico unarmed!
