Brazilians Giving Up Their American Dream
Another Immigration Sob Story:

Brazilians Giving Up Their American Dream
By NINA BERNSTEIN and ELIZABETH DWOSKIN
Like hundreds of thousands of middle-class Brazilians who moved to the United States over the last two decades, Jose Osvandir Borges and his wife, Elisabeth, came on tourist visas and stayed as illegal immigrants, putting down roots in ways they never expected.
After packing up their plasma-screen TV, scholastic trophies and other fruits of 12 prosperous years in the Ironbound in Newark, the couple and their American-born daughter, Marianna, 10, were scheduled to fly back to Brazil for good this morning. They expect their son, Thiago, 21, to follow in a year or two, despite his reluctance to leave the only land that feels like home.

To explain an often wrenching decision to pull up stakes, homeward-bound Brazilians point to a rising fear of deportation and a slumping American economy. Many cite the expiration of driver’s licenses that can no longer be renewed under tougher rules, coupled with the steep drop in the value of the dollar against the currency of Brazil, where the economy has improved
Isn't this what we keep saying. They have no loyalty to America. They came here to "take every advantage they could'. They are going home because they've sucked this place dry and "home" now has more to offer.

12-04-2007, 08:12 AM #4Brazilian immigrants have transformed, from Boston to Pompano Beach, Fla.
It's a haven for illegal immigrants. I knew six Americans who lived in a small, one story apartment complex there. All six of these people had lived there happily in their individual apartments for as long as 19-20 years.
A man from Brazil bought the apartment building and ran ALL of the Americans out in a matter of three months. He raised their rent drastically upon becoming the owner of it and one month later went up on their rent again!!
It was the darndest thing anyone had ever seen. No one could believe it could be possible that this blatant of a thing could be happening in the USA.
He filled the place with a revolving door of illegal aliens from Brazil. We lived in a house on the same street and watched the whole thing happen. Those very nice, law-abiding, quiet working class Americans had been run right out by "these good people, just trying to put food on the table".
Watching this REALLY made me wonder whether George Bush had half a brain or just half of a heart.
And things like this have been going on across the nation, and not getting any attention from mainstream media. THAT figures!Join our efforts to Secure America's Borders and End Illegal Immigration by Joining ALIPAC's E-Mail Alerts network (CLICK HERE)

It's really terrible to watch something like that, and then turn on the TV and hear the likes of Bill Richardson and Vicente Fox and company and our other traitorous representatives sobbing for illegal aliens.
It's like you just cannot believe this is happening.Join our efforts to Secure America's Borders and End Illegal Immigration by Joining ALIPAC's E-Mail Alerts network (CLICK HERE)

They see the economy tanking with the dollar dropping that farm mortgage money isn't what it use to be. If the economy gets any worse illegals will really start feeling the heat. So the corporate political jockstraps better hurry or they'll never get (it) done. It being the open door to Latin Americans looking for the American dream and making ours in to a third world nightmare ...
He says so with his own words right here.
said Mr. Borges, 42, reflecting on a hard decision born of lost hopes, new fears and changing economies in both countries since he arrived in 1996

Sheesh, I'D like to earn enough money to buy a Plasma screen TV!!! I'm working my butt off to pay old debts and for a honeymoon next year, so the Widescreen TV is put to the side for at least a year!! And even then, it may be doubtful, as we may be looking to move to a new home at that point! I seriously doubt he paid taxes (especially income taxes). That's $6,000 a week WITHOUT TAXES!!! That's a heck of a lot of money!
Good riddance!!!! Have fun back in Brazil!!!

Rats leaving a sinking ship. The Good Ship USA, scuttled by it's own leaders who have decided a NWO is preferable to a strong nation.
Ah but we are still afloat and if mutiny is what is necessary then so be it!
