    E-VERIFY Self Check now in all 50 states

    USCIS Stakeholder Event

    On February 9, 2012 at 3:00pm (EST), U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) will hold a national public engagement on the expansion of E-Verify Self Check throughout the United States. During the event, USCIS representatives will demonstrate E-Verify Self Check, an online service that allows job hunters to check their employment eligibility status before looking for a job, and answer any questions from stakeholders about the service. At 3 pm (EST) the date of the event, stakeholders are invited to send questions to uscis-live@dhs.gov.

    Dear Stakeholders,

    USCIS announced today that Self Check, a free online service of E-Verify that allows workers to check their own employment eligibility status, is now available in all 50 states, Washington, D.C., Guam, Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands and the Commonwealth of Northern Mariana Islands. Launched in March 2011 by Secretary of Homeland Security Janet Napolitano and USCIS Director Alejandro Mayorkas, today’s announcement delivers on the goal of expanding Self Check nationally within one year.

    In conjunction with this announcement, USCIS will be hosting a national stakeholder engagement on Self Check today, February 9 at 3:00pm Eastern Time. During the session, USCIS will describe and demonstrate the service, discuss its performance, and debut the new Self Check webpages and promotional materials.
