This 17 year old shot and killed a Deputy Sheriff attempting to serve a felony warrant, and he has been in trouble since age 10! Now his dad is being deported back to Cambodia after attempting to bribe an immigration officer after he was found guilty of domestic violence.

It was not mentioned in this article but was on the TV news that several of his "friends" (gang) showed up at his court hearing and chanted continuously "Free Jon Jon". So pleased to know there are more of them out there.

[quote]Jonathan Bun, the teen charged in the shooting death of a Clayton County sheriff's deputy, has a significant criminal history dating back to the age of 10.

The 17-year-old has had at least a half-dozen criminal infractions since then, according to records The Atlanta Journal-Constitution obtained from the Clayton County Juvenile Court system.

The offenses include burglary, drug possession and, in the earliest record, carrying a knife to an elementary school.

Bun was taken from his home twice by the state with the intention of removing him from the community he lived in, juvenile court spokesman John Johnson said.

"Mr. Bun was committed to the state after only two months of serving probation," Johnson said.

"The court committed Mr. Bun to the state twice and on both occasions recommended that Mr. Bun be removed from the home and placed in a [youth detention center], residential home, or other facility," Johnson said.

Clayton Juvenile Court Judge Steven Teske told Channel 2 Action News, “We knew that he could not remain in the community, so as long as we had him, we wanted him out of the community.â€
