ICE officials were told they could dismiss deportation cases against illegal aliens convicted of sexual assault, solicitation of murder, aggravated assault, assaulting a police officer, kidnapping and many drug charges.

ICE agent: We "are forced every day to release violent offenders"

Minutes after President Obama delivered his State of the Union speech, National ICE Council president, Chris Crane issued a scathing statement against Obama, reminding the nation of just how little regard this president has for the rule of law.

Crane said:

According to news accounts, the President has once again invited illegal immigrants to the State of the Union — and yet the President still refuses to meet with ICE officers. We have a President who will provide those illegally in the US with the seat of honor at one of the most important events of the year, but ICE officers who serve under him are unwelcome in the White House.

ICE officers are forced every day to release violent offenders back into the streets; we are prohibited from enforcing immigration violations and document fraud and from cracking down on illegal employment; we are prohibited from enforcing public charge law to protect taxpayers; and we are forced to catch-and-release illegal aliens who are not 'priorities' even when officers' believe there is a threat to public safety."

In July 2012, Judicial Watch released several internal memos from the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) which contained a laundry list of violent crimes Immigration and Custom Enforcement (ICE) officials were instructed to simply overlook when considering the deportation of any illegal alien.

The memos, which were obtained through a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) lawsuit, not only contradicted then-DHS Secretary Janet Napolitano's claims that removing criminal aliens was a "top priority" but also proved that ICE began their policy of 'prosecutorial discretion' nearly an entire year before then-ICE director John Morton publicly announced the policy.

It is painfully obvious that even amid daily reports of illegal aliens raping and killing women and children across this nation, Obama has no intentions of ever enforcing our immigration laws, nor of securing our border with Mexico in any serious fashion.

Instead, this president allows American citizens to be victimized, while rewarding foreign criminals.
