June 13, 2013 – Long-lost Nazi diary recovered after HSI investigation

Federal officials and representatives from the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum in Washington June 13 announced the seizure of a long-lost diary kept by a close confidant of Adolph Hitler. The recovery of this historical document was the result of an extensive investigation conducted by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement's (ICE) Homeland Security Investigations (HSI). Full Story
June 13, 2013 – Man pleads guilty in 'Sons of Anarchy' counterfeiting case

A Savannah man pleaded guilty June 12 to trafficking in counterfeit goods involving the sale of unauthorized merchandise from the popular FX Network television series "Sons of Anarchy." The plea follows an investigation by HSI. Full Story
June 10, 2013 – Maryland man convicted of conspiring to illegally provide satellite services to Iran

A naturalized U.S. citizen born in Iran was convicted June 10 of conspiracy to provide illegal satellite services to Iran, money laundering and obstruction of bankruptcy proceedings. As a result of this violation of the International Emergency Economic Powers Act, an Iranian earth observation satellite equipped with a camera was launched into space from Russia Oct. 27, 2005, the first-ever Iranian satellite put into orbit. June 11, 2013 – Chinese national sentenced to 12 years in prison for cyber theft, piracy of over $100 million in sensitive software and proprietary data

A Chinese national was sentenced to 144 months in federal prison June 11 for conspiracy to commit wire fraud and criminal copyright infringement. The individual operated a website used to distribute more than $100 million worth of pirated software around the world, making it one of the most significant cases of copyright infringement ever uncovered – and dismantled – by HSI. June 12, 2013 – 2 more sexual predators sentenced in massive child pornography investigation

Two men were sentenced on felony charges in federal court June 11 after pleading guilty for their participation in an international criminal network known as Dreamboard, which produced and disseminated depictions of graphic child sexual abuse via the Internet. Nearly 50 individuals have now pleaded guilty for their roles in Dreamboard, which is the largest child pornography bulletin board prosecution in U.S. history. Full Story
