LOS ANGELES, Calif. (FOX 11) - LA Unified Schools are now declared ‘no ICE’ zones. The school board has banned Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents from setting foot on any campus without the district's permission.

The new resolution brought forth by the school board instructs all staff members to not let any ICE agents on campus for any reason, including evaluation of exchange or non-immigrant students until approved and cleared by the Superintendent of Schools and LAUSD lawyers.

ICE claims that they do not come to schools looking for students, but parents fear sending their kids to school after information they received of ICE agents conducting a series of raids across the U.S. in January targeting Central American immigrants.

I.C.E. has had a policy for years that they do NOT make arrest in Churches, Hospitals or Schools,

so this is much ado about nothing.

Such a nonsense and illegal rule. They can not keep out authorities be it ICE or the Police and doing so is a criminal action. Now ICE works hard to NOT make arrests in those areas already unless a serious threat happens to be there such as a heinous murderer. That is what is giving this district the balls to do this as they know ICE already won't so it just makes them look good as supporting the mass of illegal aliens around them.

I'd love to see a change in policy at ICE though that started going after known illegal aliens in any place be it a school or church and see what kind sh*t falls on the district for thinking they can stop ICE.

Mr Trump says he will enforce our immigration laws - YEAH! Enough of this nonsense waste of time by the last 2 admins. The funds should have been cut to all sanctuary cities. Run your schools w/o taxpayer funds and see how long you will have classrooms.

Let ICE do their jobs - not something dreamed up by the last 2 admins.

I would like to see ICE investigate a certain winery around here, now in the estate of a very liberal, open borders politician. The founder of the winery had written a book describing how they knowingly employed illegal workers. Of course, a lot of these wineries do the same thing. I suspect Nancy Pelosi's does a lot of it.
