A recently deported immigrant was among three alleged members of the Aztecas gang arrested while putting up a "narco-banner" in Juárez, officials said.

Mexican federal police arrested the men Monday on a day that other banners were posted in Juárez reportedly stating that the Aztecas and La Linea crime organizations were still working together.

Officials identified those arrested as Jose Miguel "El Cholo" Venegas Hernandez, 23; Jose Rosario "El Escaso" Flores Morales, 23, who 15 days earlier had been released from Cereso prison after serving a sentence for auto theft and possession of a firearm; and Jose Luis "El Negro" Lozano Meza, 31, who two weeks ago was deported to Mexico after illegally entering the United States.

Police said the men were paid $100 by La Linea (Juárez drug cartel) to put up the banners.
