If convicted of "illegal reentry," he faces a maximum sentence of ten years in prison

NORRISTOWN, PA - A Norristown resident who was deported in 2010 has been charged with illegal reentry, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office Eastern District of Pennsylvania.

Jose Alberto Guadalupe-Ascencion, 30, is a native of Mexico.

If convicted of illegal reentry, he faces a maximum sentence of ten years in prison.

Guadalupe-Ascencion did not commit a crime once he was in the United States, but entered the country illegally on multiple occasions, officials allege.

Guadalupe-Ascencion entered the country illegally on December 3, 2010, February 2, 2012, June 6, 2012, and September 23, 2012, according to the attorney’s office.

The case was investigated by Immigration and Customs Enforcement, Enforcement and Removal Operations (“ERO”), and is being prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Joan E. Burnes.

We need journalists to investigate these people. Authorities say he didn't commit any crimes. Really? Don't you mean he wasn't arrested for any other crimes. Why was he coming here? Was he working somewhere? Was he visiting illegal alien relatives? Where was he staying? What was he doing? Is he a terrorist? Is he a pedophile? Is he a thief? Is he running drugs? Is he mentally ill? WHAT WAS HE DOING HERE? Norristown, PA isn't exactly Cancun where people from thousands of miles away travel to for the lovely scenery. Norristown is a very nice community, but it's not somewhere 25 to 30 year olds in Mexico or anywhere else are dreaming to visit MULTIPLE TIMES.

WHAT WAS HE DOING HERE?

We want answers, we want investigations, we want reports, thorough reports. We want to know everything these people are doing or have done from the second their feet or wheels crossed that border. How did he get in? Who brought him? Who was he staying with? Who was he working for? Have they all been arrested?
