PROGRAM HELPS HISPANICS, BUILDERS WORK TOGETHER
(WASHINGTON) - The National Association of Home Builders, noting that a wide number of Hispanics are finding their way into the construction industry, says it has developed a new computer learning tool to help workers who don't speak English work with site managers who do not speak Spanish.

The "Sed de Saber" program will help builders "recruit and retain skilled workers, fortify business relationships, increase efficiency, loyalty and promote job site safety," said a spokesman.

Users learn at their own pace, on their own time, more than 500 vocabulary words and over 340 phrases specific to home building. Instead of encouraging and training illegal immigrants to be good illegals, shouldn't we be deporting them? At the very least we should not be encouraging them by helping to remove a handicap. Yes, I assume most of the folks this program is designed to help are illegal. If not, they would probably have a working knowledge of English.
