Rep Joe Wilson Was Right- 125,000 ILLEGAL Immigrants Eligible for Benefits Under Obamacare

Obama is Serial Liar.

Back in 2009, Rep Joe Wilson (R-SC) famously called attention to himself while calling attention to the falsehoods coming from the mouth of the newly elected B. Hussein Obama. In response to the claims that obamacare would not be provide coverage to illegal aliens, Wilson shouted out “You lie!”
Of course the protocol-protective members of both parties quickly denounced Wilson, forcing him to apologize. Jihad John McCain was particularly involved in “reaching across the aisle” to work things out.
Wilson knew it was a lie at the time of Obama said it, as two amendments intended to verify citizenship and eligibility had just been defeated in Congress.
Information is surfacing now that indicates not only was Joe Wilson correct in his assessment of the occupant of the White House, he was also correct in his interpretation of obamacare. It would seem now that Obama was indeed lying when he said that illegal aliens would not be covered.
Jihad John needs to give Obama’s famous phone a jingle and set up another apology. This time from the president for lying to the American people as well as targeting Wilson.
Instead of illegal aliens not being screened out by obamacare, they are being sought out. Covered California, the preeminent healthcare exchange, is actively soliciting illegals to join up.
Naturally, they don’t specifically implicate themselves by saying something to the effect of “All illegals may sign up and we won’t check you.” Oh wait, yes they do.
Covered California has a page on their website titled: “No temas si eres indocumentado/a y quieres inscribir a tu familia en un seguro médico” (“Fear not if you are undocumented and want to enroll your family in health insurance”).
It explains to concerned illegal aliens who wish to validate Joe Wilson’s point, that information provided to the obamacare website cannot be shared with Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). It also carries no warning that the law prohibits illegals from participating in the healthcare system.
So while the law says illegals aren’t eligible, the practice in this lawless administration is just the opposite.
Among enrollees, it would be ridiculous to expect people who are in America illegally and already using falsified documents to work and remain there to suddenly become law-abiding when it came to their healthcare.
An October 2013 ICE memo adds more corroboration to the position of Rep Wilson, stating it “does not use information about such individuals or members of their household that is obtained for purposes of determining eligibility for such coverage as the basis for pursuing civil immigration enforcement action.”
The effect is an invitation to every illegal alien to go ahead and sign up, regardless of what the law says. Most illegals already are aware of the weak immigration enforcement posture of the federal government under Obama.
Whether the illegals sign up for the largely unpopular insurance is yet to be seen. They have free health care now through hospital emergency rooms. It seems unlikely that they will pay for what they are now able to obtain at no cost to them.
Now we know – Obamacare covers illegal immigrants.
125,000 illegal immigrants will be eligible for free healthcare under Medi-Cal, California’s Medicaid expansion.

Today The LA Times reported:

A new report shows that as many as 125,000 young California immigrants may qualify for an expansion of Medi-Cal, the state’s Medicaid program.
The Affordable Care Act bars insurance subsidies and enrollment in the Medicaid expansion for undocumented immigrants, but a wrinkle in California rules does offer coverage for those with “deferred action status.”
The Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program was created by President Obama in 2012 to grant immigrants who came to the country illegally as children — sometimes called Dreamers — legal status and work authorization for two-year periods.
Laurel Lucia, a policy analyst at the UC Berkeley Labor Center and author of the report released Tuesday, said California is one of the few states that lets youth with deferred action status enroll in Medicaid.
“But the word still hasn’t been spread,” she said.
The report found that 154,000 people in California had been granted the status as of December 2013. About 81%, or 125,000, are eligible for Medi-Cal based on their annual income, which has to be less than $15,850 for an individual.

They never should have given special treatment to the kids of illegal immigrants! It hasn't solved anything but to make things worse for us. How much has it already cost us for these kids in schooling, cheap housing, welfare etc?
