Driver charged in deaths of four

A man charged with four counts of intoxication manslaughter is an illegal alien who only a few weeks ago was arrested on another alcohol-related charge, officials say.

Roberto Castillo, 19, remained in the Washington County jail this morning under $2 million bond after authorities say he slammed into another vehicle at the intersection of Highway 36 South and FM 109 about 1:30 a.m. Sunday.

Authorities said Castillo’s pickup truck struck a 1998 Mustang carrying four people, who all died from injuries they suffered in the crash. Their identities had not yet been released this morning.

Authorities were carefully piecing together information, including reconstruction of the accident.

Castillo was subsequently arrested by a Brenham police officer and charged with driving under the influence by a minor, a Class C misdemeanor.
Obama's immigration policies took the lives of 4 people.

Police: "It's the Worst Wreck We've Ever Seen in Brenham"

Police and emergency responders we spoke to are calling it one of the worst accidents they have ever seen on the streets of Washington County.

Police and emergency responders we spoke to are calling it one of the worst accidents they have ever seen on the streets of Washington County.

"It's some of the ones that you have nightmares about," explained Washington County Paramedic Chris Smith.

Smith was one of the first to respond on scene early Sunday morning. Police say the driver of a Dodge pickup truck, 19-year -old Roberto Castillo, t-boned a Ford Mustang at the intersection of Texas 36 and FM 109 in Brenham.

"When you arrived on scene you see the one pick-up truck crushed up against the Ford Mustang," described Smith. "Parts of the car were actually scattered across the highway and glass was everywhere. We walked up to the scene and there were four individuals unresponsive inside the vehicle. "

Those four young adults were: 22-year-old Rachel Ann Dominguez; 20-year-old Imelda Yajaira-Sukey Duran; 19-year-old Guillermo Gonzales Delgado and 19-year-old Ronald Barrios Mendez.. They were killed instantly.

'I have to rely on my faith and say you know what, maybe God was with them and they're in a better place," added Smith.

Castillo was found in a nearby mobile home park after fleeing the scene. He was arrested for intoxication manslaughter and police say he was arrested last month on DUI minor charges. At the time of the DUI arrest last month, the city of Brenham tells News 3 dispatch received a call of a wreckless driver and as police spotted Castillo, he was just getting out of his vehicle in a parking lot. Since he was never spotted actually driving the car, police were unable to charge him with DWI. They did say, however, the officer had enough evidence to arrest him for DUI as a minor.

What was once a scene is now a makeshift memorial where friends and family members are counting on the memories these four young adults leave behind.

"It's a short life which is why we take each day the best we can and do the most we can for each individual," added Smith.

Castillo is being held in the Washington County Jail on $2-million bond. Investigators say toxicology reports are still pending.

She said that they are looking Into various legal remedies,Including congressional Investigations on how all of this transpired, but they need Congress back In session to do so .
