An illegal immigrant was busted for having a fake permanent resident card when a Richland cop noticed his birth date was listed as June 31, when the month ends a day earlier.

Julio Cesar Adame Flores, 40, pleaded innocent to one count of forgery. His trial is scheduled Aug. 6.

Richland Cpl. Hyrum Stohel had stopped Adame Flores and asked for his identification. He reportedly handed over a permanent resident card identifying him as Cesar Adame Flores with a birthday of June 31, 1971.

When Stohel questioned him about the date, Adame Flores admitted his full name and the fact his birth date is a month later on July 30, court documents said. Stohel was unable to find a record with the information.

Adame Flores then told the officer he was given the fake identification card when he entered the country illegally, documents said.
