Al Qaeda Takes Fallujah, Iraq on Brink of New War

Al-Qaeda in Iraq has taken control of Fallujah and a handful of other cities in Iraq, reports the Washington Post, “threatening to undo much of what U.S. troops appeared to have accomplished before they withdrew” and “raising the specter of a new civil war.” The Daily Beast’s Eli Lake explains why, however, Fallujah could be al-Qaeda in Iraq’s Waterloo.
