Bisphenol A (BPA) is found in most plastic food containers today. Not only is it found in plastic containers, but also in the lining of most cans.

BPA is essentially a synthetic estrogen that enters the body when one consumes food or beverages out of plastic or plastic-lined containers. This is not only harmful to the male reproductive system, but has been found to also stimulate breast cancer growth in women.

This 2009 video highlights health risks with BPA, which is still widely used in cans in the US. Other countries began banning BPA in 2010, and the FDA finally banned BPA in baby bottles and sippy cups in the US in 2012. But when this video was made, just a year before the bans began, the industry still insisted there were no health risks. - See more at: http://www.therealfoodchannel.com/vi....x0DnTuxw.dpuf
