Federal representatives of opposition parties (PRD-PRI) criticized the political activism of Juan Hernández in the collection of funds for the candidate of the U.S. Republican Party, John McCain, and made an exhort to the chancellery to send an "attentive note" to the former Friend of Fox to impede that he injures the image of the country (Mexico).

Edmundo RamÃ*rez (PRI), secretary of the Commission of Population, Borders and Migratory Matters of the House of Representatives, affirmed that far from fortifying the Hispanic community, these actions affect the image of Mexico.

Although as a citizen, he said, he has the right to participate and to speak as he chooses, the PAN party should be take caution in the way those who were close collaborators of the former Mexican president participate.

EL UNIVERSAL brought to light that Juan Hernández, an old collaborator of Vicente Fox, now dedicates part of his time to collect funds for the presidential campaign of John McCain.

On the matter, the legislator Ramirez from the PRI party, considered that there are other ways to promote political participation of those who have the possibility to vote.

"Who is Juan Hernández? A person who has always operated with the American right and here in Mexico, one of the representatives of the right reactionary wing" added the representative.

"I exhort the chancellery to ask top-level officials, of the previous administration not to damage the image of the country. Therefore, we as a parliamentary group have been in disagreement with they way (Vicente) Fox continues being presented like the president and giving conferences and speaking without representing anybody".

Alejandro Sánchez Camacho (PRD) regretted the attitude of the former Friend of Fox, and added that with this, it shows that their is a link between the PAN party and the far right in the United States.

"It shows that still the Man with Boots has threads of power that moves, not only in our country, but in every part of North America and South America", added the legislator of the PRD party.
