A firestorm broke out during the weekend over the latest part-timing impact from Obamacare (covered here extensively previously), this time in the form of a leaked memo by retailer Forever 21, which announced that some employees would be demoted to part-time status. The memo, which announced forcible part-time changes would take place on August 18 with full loss of benefits to take place by August 31, was leaked by a disgruntled employee on their Facebook page.
The highlight from the memo:

Company-wide, Forever 21 recently audited its staffing levels, staffing needs and payroll in conduction with reviewing its overall spending budget. As a result, we are reducing a number of full-time non-management positions.... As a Part-Time employee your regular schedule will not exceed 29.5 hours per week.

As is well known, with the ACA mandating companies who employ 50 full-time workers or more to provide health insurance coverage, one much exploited loophole is to cut full-time workers to part-time status, i.,e., have them work less than 30 hours. Or 29.5 hours in this case. Following this forcible full-time demotion, employees will lose medical, dental, vision and voluntary coverage on Aug. 31 and will no longer accrue paid time off.

Forever 21's prompt response to understandable fury by the confused broader public: it only impacts a tiny 1% of all employees and is in no way related to the "Affordable" Care Act.

Thank you for reaching out Jessy. Forever 21, like all retailers, staffs its stores based on projected store sales, completely independent of the Affordable Care Act. After a recent evaluation, Forever 21 realigned its staffing needs to better reflect sales expectations. This realignment impacted less than 1% of all U.S. store employees. Forever 21 values all of its employees and made every effort to affect as few employees as possible in this realignment.

And since there is no way to independetly verify the veracity of the statement, one should accept it on pure faith. Like most other things these days.

Dear Barack Obama, Letter #5

This fifth letter will attempt to summarize in a relatively concise, “talking points” way, how the Affordable Care Act (Obamacare) if fully implemented in October, will adversely impact our American way of life forever. Your legacy as a result Barack, will include the most egregious assault on life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness ever perpetrated by an American who was not tried and convicted of high treason. I will ask all Americans who agree with my assessment of Obamacare to sign on to this letter and e-mail or snail mail it to their respective Representatives in Congress.
Your Secretary of State, John Kerry, echoed and eloquently evoked your recent words to the youth in Israel by saying, “Leaders will take bold steps only if their people push them to.” I am sure that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu would agree with me, if you can deliver that statement to his people of Israel, then those predictive words should certainly hold true in your own country of America! So be prepared for the “big push” to defund Obamacare and for ordinary Americans like myself to accomplish extraordinary things. In the meantime, perhaps Netanyahu would like to come here and give the same speech you gave in Israel and help us stir up some real defiance against the leadership on Capitol Hill!
The devil is in the details and beyond in Obamacare. You like to name things after yourself, even your cute dog BO, but I refuse to name anything after you unless it has something to do with the trashing of America, like naming refuse companies after you. Therefore, I would like to share with you my pet name for Obamacare and will refer to it henceforth by that more appropriate and befitting title. Let’s call it for what it truly is, the “Do Not Care, I Lie Loads Act”, in short, the DNC-ILL Act. Now that says it all Barack, a Democratic National Committee- ILL Act designed to transfuse a heavy dose of Marxism throughout every American’s veins, an infection ridden IV drip of a health scare entitlement that will eventually rid citizens of the last vestiges of their coveted privacy and freedoms. Barack, your ability to transform and change America by using Dialysis Commie transfusions is epic. You will go down in history as the Commander in Chief of Vampires, an apt name for a president who not only has the unique ability to suck the vigorous life out of his citizens, but can even suck the blood out of a fly, as evidenced by the many photos I have seen of you with fly’s seemingly paralyzed and unable to move, adhered to your mouth.
Some have calculated your ILL Act length to be over 2,000 pages long. That was true when it was in bill form, but now that it is law, it’s statute form is just 961 pages. But I have learned not to judge an Act by it’s cover and word count is a much more accurate way of determining its length. Your ILL Act is an epic 2,163,744 words long. It took me an entire summer to read Atlas Shrugged and that was only 645,000 words. If you consider the fact that the King James Version of the Bible contains 830,314 words, that makes your ILL Act regulations two and a half times as long as the Bible. If you add the text of the ILL Act statues to its regulations, they are together three times as long as the Bible. The biggest problem I see here Barack, is that I trust every word I read in the Bible and not one word that comes out of your teleprompted mouth and you want me to trust the fact that your multifarious ILL Act was written and designed in my best interest? I was not born yesterday and am a product of public school when education mattered.
It is apparent that your teams of shyster lawyers and two-faced crony Marxist politicians stuck pins into a voodoo doll shaped like the Statue of Liberty and consulted the prince of darkness at a satanic ritual, when composing your ILL Act. Only the devil could have crafted a health care bill that includes “death panels” presided over by your hand picked IRS gulag goons who will determine a persons fate for cost cutting reasons. Even your communist buddy from the Socialist Republic of Vermont and former DNC Chair, Howard Dean, better known to Iowans as the “Screamer,” is as scared of these death panels as I am! He recently screamed to the Wall Street Journal that “The Independent Payment Advisory Board (IPAB) will be able to stop certain treatments its members do not favor by simply setting rates to levels where no doctor or hospital will perform them.”
Another troubling aspect of your ILL Act is that the same IRS government agency that has been found to be sharing private data of Tea Party members and conservative political donors is in charge of compiling and securing data on all Americans and ensuring compliance. The new head of the IRS, Danny Werfel profoundly stated that he would rather not get his own health insurance from your ILL Act. As a matter of fact, the National Treasury Employees Union, who represents IRS workers has vehemently opposed their involvement in the new health plan. Meanwhile, they are not the only ones to want to bail on your notorious bill. The chiefs of three major unions blasted your ILL Act telling Reid and Pelosi to fix it and stop the nightmare scenario.They are finally figuring out that employers will cut work hours to below 30 hours a week and union employees will be left without insurance, that union employees covered by non-profit health insurance plans will not be eligible for subsidies and relegated to second-class status, and union employees will not receive the same subsidies as for-profit plans, instead, they will be taxed to pay for those subsidies. Boy, I can tell you one thing Barack, you have pissed off some pretty big union boss thugs in this country. I am glad you are well protected except when visiting a foreign country where your secret service detail would rather chaperone the local whores than yourself!
Barack, why do I get the feeling that any treatment I may need will be denied because your partisan IRS controlled death panels will have access to my private NSA, IRS, FBI, CIA, DHS and Drone shared surveillance information and your death meisters may not appreciate the fact that I write these belligerent letters to you. Once your IRS snoop dog doggies have all my private medical records, will your gun grabber gangsters still allow me to carry a revolver in my apron pocket when they find out that because of my age, the testosterone levels in my body far outweigh the estrogen? I guess I had better follow Michelle’s broccoli diet and stay well, but to tell you the truth, her nutritional diatribe does not appear to be working too well for her these days. I think she had better start to follow her own advice. I bet that king- sized bed is feeling a bit cramped these days!
I guess lucifer was also instrumental in riddling your ILL Act with anti-life provisions that will deeply infringe upon the lives of religious, pro-life Americans. Americans in states without opt-out laws will be required to pay the “Abortion Premium Mandate” that openly violates the conscience and exercise of free rights of millions of Americans by imposing an unconstitutional burden on them. I believe this is nothing more than a huge criminal racketeering scheme headed up by your extortionist government. You will be raking in copious amounts of tax paid murder premiums and then will turn around and funnel all that money back into your degenerate community organizations, like Planned Parenthood.
Barack, forced home inspections now with your ILL Act? Your Health and Human Services bad actors will be able to knock on our door if; the mom is not yet 21, someone in the house smokes, the family has children who have developmental delays or disabilities, and families with individuals who are serving or have formerly served in the armed forces. What? These are high-risk families? Let me help you out Barack, by adding to that high-risk list! Please add infidel families who are stockpiling guns, ammo and Rottweiler guard dogs, citizens who do not take kindly to your Muslim like reign of terror. Oh, and while we are at it, do not forget to list and highlight over 21 year old mothers like myself who are scared to death that our children will not have an ounce of freedom left by the time you are through playing spades in the “situation” room. Us moms are one mean bunch, just ask our husbands, and we will no longer put up with your Orwellian ideology and sexology. There is an entire army of militant female hormones in America who can beat the living pants off of anyone who stands in the way of their children’s happiness. Meet me in the ring Barack and I will show you who is boss, your padded scrawny shoulders do not stand a chance against a housewife armed with a black cast iron frying pan. Do you think those two umbrella wielding Marines whom you ordered to cover you from the rain during a press conference in the Rose Garden will come running to your side when I have you pinned to the floor? Did you know that regulations prohibit them from using the devices while in uniform? The regulation exists because it makes it more difficult for Marines to salute. I would venture to guess they preferred holding the umbrella’s over their duty to respectfully salute you.
Remember when Catholic, pro-abortion Nancy Pelosi, better know to me as the oxymoron, Holycrap, announced that Congress had to “pass the bill (Obamacare) so we could find out what was in it? She and Hillary make a good team, don’t they? WHAT DOES IT MATTER? Nothing matters to your snake pit of politicians because you are all exempt from the legislation you sneak through Capitol Hill without our permission. Remember when you said on June15, 2009, “If you like your health care plan, you will be able to keep your health care plan. It has been reported that all insurance plans will skyrocket. How many families can afford the increased burden of higher rates, especially when they are losing their employer provided health coverage by having their hours reduced to part time? So let’s do the math, Americans will have their incomes cut by over 25% by being dropped to part time work and then will be required to purchase their own health insurance which is projected to increase between 35% to 72%, or worse, be forced to pay a penalty for not being insured. But, WHAT DOES IT MATTER?
Barack, I sure am glad you figured out how the normal citizen can learn how to sail through your entangled expensive ILL Act mess. Your new 24/7 “call centers” should be lots of help, as long as your part- timers speak another language other than Spanish, Arabic and Hindi. Perhaps speaking English would be a good choice, not many Americans are proficient in those foreign languages. But, typical of big government, you always have a redundant back up plan. If we cannot make sense with those alien operators, we can master your new health tax rules by visiting cutting-edge, novel neighborhood Navigator Centers! You conveniently circumvented Congress’s fiscal authority and just happened to find $67 million dollars lying around to fund centers that will train people to provide “unbiased information in a culturally competent manner” to consumers. Once again, your feminazi’s will be rewarded for all the pro-choice murder they help you merchandise and Planned Parenthood will become legitimate Navigator Centers.Your abortion mandate coffers should rise to record level highs as your death sales people flourish with their new cash cow income to sell abortion. I can just hear you now, howling like a wolf in mating season as the baby murder count continues to climb!
To make matters worse, Reid recently whined that your ILL Act is not enough, that this whole debauchery will hopefully become moot, that we must strive for a single-payer national health care system. Barack, do I need to look into a crystal ball to figure out if this was your evil ambition all along? Enough is enough. It is time “We the People” jam your ILL Act right back down your throat, like you did to us! We will defund, stop funding, repeal, trash and burn your Marxist inspired bill and then have the Barack Hussein Obama Refuse Company dump truck pick up the ashes and hoe them into your wife’s organic White House “victory” garden. Our hope is that you will get debilitated from eating all the toxic lettuce growing in your ILL Act corrupted compost. Then, “We the People” will make you go in front of a death panel made up of citizens who are totally disgusted with you and your dictatorship. Let’s see how you feel when begging for approval for emergency treatment from a panel who would rather see you imprisoned in a FEMA camp for the rest of your life. So go ahead and follow Michelle’s advice, have a feast and eat tons of veggies from her garden, but just do not give any leftovers to BO, I would not want to see your cute dog get sick.

The rumor that blocking your ILL Act will automatically result in a “government shutdown” and harm our nation’s defense or it’s military personnel and veterans is simply another one of your persistent lies. Just ask the House Armed Services Committee, they will set you straight on that untruth. “We the People” consider a government shut-down to be almost as good as getting you impeached.
