ALIPAC Compensates for AP Big Brother actions: Will now use 'Illegal Invaders'

ALIPAC is changing its "style" preference in all future articles and press releases today in response to the totalitarian steps by the Associated Press to make "illegal immigrants" disappear with the stroke of a pen just days before legislation attempting to do the same is expected to be filed in Washington, DC, by the "Gang of 8."

ALIPAC will now use the more accurate term "illegal invaders" or simply "illegals" to describe the class of criminals represented by the more than 12 million people on American soil who have chosen to violate America's immigration laws and borders.

"This Big Brother move by AP is political correctness on steroids," said William Gheen, President of ALIPAC. "What class of criminals will the Associated Press and Congress make disappear next with the stroke of a pen? Perhaps they will make all of the rapists, shop lifters, drug dealers, tax cheats, prostitutes and pimps disappear too?"

Many of ALIPAC's legal immigrant supporters have complained for many years that the word "immigrant" should not be used to describe those who chose to overstay their visas or sneak into America under cover of darkness with the aid of drug smuggling murderous cartel operatives. "Immigrant" is considered to be an honorable or noble term describing a law abiding and respectful person. Illegal invaders are not respectful nor do they abide by or respect American laws!

I'll still call them what they are to me. Illegal aliens. I've never thought of them as 'immigrants' of any sort.

Yesterday the Associated Press changed the way its writers handle illegal immigration by striking the term "illegal immigrant" from the AP Style book. The move led to some late night fodder from Jay Leno, who joked the AP will be using "undocumented Democrat" from now on.

IMO they are criminals when the cross the border illegally, therefore they are invading. Illegal invaders fits.

This is not the way to do things. The AP etc. are willing to be inaccurate. You can present a contrast to them by being accurate. That means using the legally-correct term, and neither of the choices given in the press release are that.

For what I did about this, see my question for Paul Colford of the Associated Press. Get a Twitter account if you don't have one, and ask him the same question, or ask him why he won't answer my question. Look up other AP people on Twitter and do the same. Look up persuadable AP supporters and make the point about the USCode to them.

This is a good opportunity to discredit the AP *to their supporters and to those on the fence*. I realize they mislead, you realize they mislead, but millions of people don't. So, you try to point out to as many of those persuadables how the AP isn't credible.
