Molester gets 75 to life for molesting young girls

SAN FRANCISCO -- A child molester who tried to escape justice by fleeing to his native Mexico will spend the rest of his life behind bars after being given the maximum sentence by a judge.

The Contra Costa County times reports that 36-year-old Elidio Gonzalez Bautista was sentenced to 75 years to life in prison with no parole for molesting three young girls.

The newspaper says Bautista's sentencing on Thursday comes after he was convicted last month of eight counts of lewd acts on a child and other charges.

Prosecutors say the girls, who were 4, 6 and 7 when they were first assaulted in Pittsburg and Antioch, were molested between 2003 and 2006.

Bautista fled the United States in 2006. He was tracked to a Mexican jail, but was released before he could be extradited.

Bautista was returned to Contra Costa County for prosecution after being tracked down by U.S. Marshals.

Notice how his immigration status isn't mentioned. In my mind any IA living anywhere in the USA is not a SF man, NY man etc.
