WASHINGTON – “Our country is in very, very serious trouble,” Donald Trump told an audience at the Conservative Political Action Conference outside Washington, D.C. today.

“Likewise, the Republican Party is in serious trouble,” he added.

The outspoken real-estate mogul ticked off a list of concerns: The economy, illegal aliens, American Crossroads, Republicans and in particular the Obama administration.

“We’re run by either very foolish or very stupid people,” he said in his speech. “What’s going on in this country is unbelievable. Our country is a total mess, a total and complete mess, and what we need is leadership.”

Trump blasted the Karl Rove-founded super PAC American Crossroads and the failure of the candidates it backed last year.

“When you spend $400 million and it’s a failure, and you don’t have one victory, you know there’s something seriously, seriously wrong,” he said.

Trump also had some advice for failed Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney.

He said Romney should have, like him, touted his business success.

“Republicans and Mitt, and I told him this, didn’t talk enough about the things he did, the great things,” he said. “They were in the defensive instead of taking that offense.”

He also strongly warned the GOP that “the Republicans need to be very careful” the don’t grant amnesty and subsequent citizenship to the 10 million to 25 million illegal aliens residing in the United States.

Millions of new Democratic voters will be added to the rolls if President Obama succeeds in passing proposed immigration reform, Trump said.

“The truth is 11 million people will be voting Democratic,” he somberly informed the crowd. “Everyone of those 11 million will be voting Democratic. That’s just the way it works.”

Trump criticized the anti-European bias in the immigration system, which favors people from Mexico.

Trump said it is sad that the U.S. system encourages non-European immigration while discouraging European immigrants who “study at our universities” and then upon graduation leave and take their training to other nations “that compete against us.”

Trump also spoke about the economy, calling for the re-industrialization of the U.S.

“We must take back our jobs from China” and “bring back manufacturing to this country,” he said.

Trump spoke highly of the proposal by Rep. Paul Ryan, R-Wis., to balance the federal budget in 10 years.

But he said, “The president should be the one to introduce a budget.”

Trump called looming debate on the debt ceiling “a very powerful weapon” that Obama “will override” through federal mandate.

He additionally chastised the Republican Party, saying it has “so much power and they don’t seem to realize it.”

He said with “every day that goes by they lose power” and the GOP should use the debt ceiling as a “bargaining tool.”

Trump also criticized the war in Iraq, lamenting the high loss of life and the financial burden, saying “we have nothing” as a result of the nine-year-long war.

He said America should take Iraqi oil to “pay ourselves back.”

He also criticized America’s hostile engagement with North Korea, asserting that the current policy “gains us nothing.”

Trump is right about amnesty being suicide. I have been a conservative since Barry Goldwater, 1964. I and other conservatives are getting tired of being blown off by some so-called "conservatives." They want us to fight gun control, or against abortion, or for limited goverhment, etc. I and others have tried hard to support these people and buld a coalition. But far too many "conservatives" blow off our opposition to any legal status for illegal aliens as if it were not important, or worse yet, many work at cross purposes to us. They promote Rand Paul, Marko Rubio, Newt Gingrich and others who feel it is safe to peddle shyster forms of amnesty because some "conservattives" have anointed them heroes and will protect them.

Illegal aliens must leave the country, without that anything else becomes meaningless and political suicide for conservatives.

Take note Sean Hannity and others, if you keep shoving Paul, Rubio and their ilk down our throat we will leave. We are tired of fighting against those who ought to be our allies. If conservatives do not have enough common sense to reject those who promote plans for political suicide, then already our defeat is a certainty.

Conservatives back me up on this, call Hannity (or e-mail him), e-mail conservative blogs and CPAC etc. Spred the word, hell no to anyone who support suicide via amnesty.

EXCLUSIVE: TRUMP SMACKS BACK AGAINST MEDIA ATTACKS ON CPAC SPEECH

    by MATTHEW BOYLE
    15 Mar 2013

Donald Trump told Breitbart News on Friday that he was excited to be a part of the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) this year and that the American Conservative Union (ACU), which hosts the event, was just as happy to have him aboard.

Left-wing outlets and even many in the mainstream press have lambasted Trump for his speech, despite its success. Among other hit pieces written on Trump throughout the media, the Christian Science Monitor asked in a headline if Trump was a “Democratic secret agent.”

But he is now setting the record straight with Breitbart News.

“I have been invited to headline CPAC conferences throughout 2011 and 2012,” Trump said. “This conference is very important, especially at this moment with the 2014 and 2016 elections fast approaching. I also consider Chairman Al Cardenas a good friend. I am glad that I was able to make room in my schedule for today’s address.”

A Trump operative added that he was invited to headline the 2011 Florida CPAC conference, plus the 2012 conferences in Chicago and Colorado, but could not attend because of prior commitments.

Trump spoke to CPAC 2013 here in National Harbor, MD at 8:45 a.m., a time slot his operative told Breitbart News he picked so he could meet with Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell to help him with his election. During the meeting, Trump’s operative said the businessman stressed to the Kentucky GOP senate veteran that Karl Rove was doing tremendous damage to his re-election efforts.

The crowd in the main room filled to capacity by the end of Trump’s address, something his operative said he planned to do to help McConnell, who spoke right after him. Trump was apparently worried that McConnell’s audience size might be smaller than normal since the Faith and Freedom Prayer Breakfast was happening at the same time.
Trump was also offered to headline the Reagan Dinner on Saturday, but he cannot attend also because of a prior business commitment. After CPAC announced Trump was speaking this year, his operative said the ACU had the largest day of ticket sales in CPAC history.

“Mr. Trump is very worried that the Republican Party has learned the wrong lessons from the 2012 defeat,” the Trump operative said. “He felt it was important to stress to the party leaders and faithful that immigration and entitlement reform should not be a top priority. If the Republicans are going to be successful, they must focus on the economy, jobs, OPEC, reining in China and our debt crisis.
