Open Letter To Nancy Pelosi: A Few Reasons People Just Might Think You’re Cray-Cray

Dear Nancy:
As bombshell after bombshell dropped on the deepening Benghazi scandal last week, I couldn’t help but notice that you felt compelled to make a fool out of yourself a statement on the damning new revelations.

“Benghazi, Benghazi, Benghazi. Why aren’t we talking about something else?”

Maybe it’s just me, but perhaps it’s because internal White House emails prove that it was the administration – not the CIA – who altered the talking points that were given to Susan Rice so she could lie mislead the American people on five different Sunday talk shows. Whaddya think?

Anyway, it got me thinking: this wasn’t your first rodeo when it comes to making ridiculous controversial comments. Remember this one when you weighed in on unemployment in 2010?

“Unemployment benefits are creating jobs faster than practically any other program. It injects demand into the economy. It creates jobs faster than almost any other initiative you can name.”

The thing is, even it were true, it kinda made you look completely out to lunch uninformed, don’t you think? Especially to people desperately looking for a job.
Then there was this gem from just a couple of months ago:

“I don’t think [Obama's] ever done anything for political reasons”

Nancy, you seriously think a one-term Senator who rose to the presidency hasn’t done anything for political reasons?

And of course there was your crème de la crème: an admonition to the American people as you shilled for tried to pass ObamaCare:

“We have to pass the bill so that you can find out what is in it.”

And, boy, did we find out what was in it, huh? While mere mortal politicians might think twice after making such a asinine embarrassing statement, not you. After all, it appears that the best thing you have going is your blind dedication to partisanship and a willingness to humiliate yourself for the cause.
Listen, I understand that you’re opposed to Republicans in every possible way, but do you really think people can’t see what’s going on? Your statements reek of outright crazy sometimes, and not necessarily because they’re from a partisan perspective, but rather because they just don’t make sense.
I’d wish you and your party luck in this year’s midterm elections, but it appears as though you’re going to need a heck of a lot more than luck.

Dennis Miller Tells Seth Meyers ‘America is Built on Busting Your A**’

[Warning: Vulgarity ahead.] Dennis Miller has a response for those liberals who think this country is full of people who can't better their lives with new jobs: America "is built on busting your a**." Late Night host Seth Meyers on Tuesday night hosted his fellow Saturday Night Live alum. The radio host and comic was promoting his new stand up act, “America 180.”
Meyers asked Dennis Miller to explain a little bit about the theme of his “America 180" act. The comedian explained that he grew skeptical when he heard Nancy Pelosi use the term “job lock," the idea of someone being stuck in a job simply for the benefits. According to Pelosi, that isn’t fair. She thinks people should be able to "free themselves" from this problem.
The radio host told Meyers,

"this country is always built on busting your ass, and if we’re going to start talking about jobs and unemployment as freeing yourself from job lock, we’re going down the crapper.”

Meyers fought back, suggesting that "job lock" is a very real thing for many Americans. But Miller retorted with his signature truthful humor stating that,

“I don’t care how much healthcare you have if you’re sitting on your ass blowing spliffs, watching cartoons all day, we’re all screwed.”

It was a humorous spin on a real issue and it was refreshing to see in a late night TV line-up that’s usually full of celebrities praising Obama or themselves.
The relevant portion is transcribed below:

MEYERS: You.. this is called "America 180" and that's basically -- the theme of it seems to be --
DENNIS MILLER: Listen, when I hear one of the two major parties talk about job lock -- when I heard Pelosi. And by the way, why do I want to hand my healthcare over to woman who chose that plastic surgeon, by the way?
MEYERS: I don’t know if that’s fair.
MILLER: How would you like to go through life looking like you're perpetually witnessing the docking of the Hindenburg? [ Laughter ] So, anyway -- so, when I hear her talking about freeing yourself up from job lock, that's "America 180" to me. You know, this country is always built on busting your ass, and if we're going to start talking about jobs and unemployment as freeing yourself from "job lock," we're going down the crapper.
MEYERS: Isn't it the idea that if you can get health insurance otherwise -- you won't stay in a job if you can get health insurance in other places?
MILLER: All I know is this -- I don't care how much healthcare you have if you're sitting on your ass, blowing spliffs, watching cartoons all day we're all screwed. [ Laughter ]
MEYERS: Well, I think if that was a job, we'd all be great.
MILLER: Well, exactly. You know, some of these -- listen, I've just had it with politicians. That's one thing that'll happen as you get older. I used to make jokes about them, just like you're doing now. I've just had it with them on both sides of the aisle.
