FAIR Statement on Truck Out Events

    NOTE

“While FAIR certainly understands the concerns expressed by the truckers who are planning to participate, the ‘Truck Out’ demonstration that may include the slowing or snarling of traffic around the country, is not part of the Hold Their Feet to the Fire event and FAIR has played no part in its planning or execution.” [/b][/color]

    FAIR Statement on the Planned

    “Truck Out” Event

Hold Their Feet to the Fire, organized by the Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR), is set to begin on Sunday April 22. This is a national campaign that will involve dozens of talk radio programs, hundreds of citizen lobbyists who will be coming to Washington, and thousands of activists and listeners from around the country who will urge their elected representatives to enforce U.S. immigration laws and oppose any plan that includes an illegal alien amnesty and a massive new guest worker program.

Other events, most notably a protest involving American truckers opposed to plans that would allow Mexican truckers to operate within the interior of the U.S., are also being planned for the week of April 22. While FAIR certainly understands the concerns expressed by the truckers who are planning to participate, the “Truck Out” demonstration that may include the slowing or snarling of traffic around the country, is not part of the Hold Their Feet to the Fire event and FAIR has played no part in its planning or execution.

(THIS POST WAS MOD EDITED TO REFLECT THE MESSAGE FROM FAIR. ALIPAC AND BLOGGER ROW ARE OFFICIALLY A PART OF HOLD THEIR FEET TO THE FIRE AND THAT IS WHY THIS POST WAS EDITED TO REFLECT THE FULL OFFICIAL STATEMENT BY FAIR)
