WASHINGTON - The United States should push for available and trained Iraqi security forces to be sent to the front lines of the fight to stabilize the embattled country, a top Republican lawmaker on military matters said Monday.
House Armed Services Committee Chairman Duncan Hunter said Monday.
"We need to saddle those up and deploy them to the fight" in dangerous areas, primarily in Baghdad, said Rep. Duncan Hunter, chairman of the Armed Services Committee of the House of Representatives.

In an interview, Hunter told The Associated Press that he took a different tack from Sen. John McCain, a front-running 2008 presidential hopeful who has urged that additional U.S. troops be sent there. Hunter has been considering whether to campaign for the Republicans' 2008 nomination.
Monday's statements continued an Iraq war policy debate that has been intensifying before and since this month's congressional elections that saw Democrats retake from the Republicans control of both the House and Senate.
Also on Monday, Rep. Charles Rangel, a Democrat who will head one of the most powerful House committees when the Democrats take over on Jan. 4, pushed again his argument that the military draft should be reinstated. Politics

Rangel, incoming chairman of the House Ways and Means Committee, had said Sunday, "There's no question in my mind that this president and this administration would never have invaded Iraq, especially on the flimsy evidence that was presented to the Congress, if indeed we had a draft."
In a speech Monday at Baruch College, he said he wants to hold hearings into current troop levels and future plans for Iraq and other potential conflict regions.
The Rev. Jesse Jackson, a civil rights leader and former presidential candidate, endorsed Rangel's position, saying the country currently has "a backdoor draft."
No Democratric draft plans
But House Speaker-elect Nancy Pelosi, talking to reporters Monday, said restoring the draft will not be on the early legislative priority list for the 110th Congress. Incoming House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer added, "The speaker and I discussed scheduling, and it did not include that."

Still, McCain admits that additional soldiers are elusive at this point. During the confirmation hearing for incoming Defense Secretary Robert Gates this week, McCain called for more "boots on the ground" in Iraq, but admitted that might be difficult. McCain quickly added that the strain on the military could have been avoided had Washington followed his advice years ago to make the Army bigger. "There were some of us three and a half years ago that said we needed to increase the size of the Army and the Marine Corps," McCain told Gates.

People need to wake up. Mike Gravel (a socialist Democrat) was talking about this before they iced him out of the debates.

Bush's War Czar Says Draft Worth a Look
WASHINGTON (AP) - Frequent tours for U.S. forces in Iraq and Afghanistan have stressed the all-volunteer force and made it worth considering a return to a military draft, President Bush's new war adviser said Friday.
"I think it makes sense to certainly consider it," Army Lt. Gen. Douglas Lute said in an interview with National Public Radio's "All Things Considered."
"And I can tell you, this has always been an option on the table. But ultimately, this is a policy matter between meeting the demands for the nation's security by one means or another," Lute added in his first interview since he was confirmed by the Senate in June.
President Nixon abolished the draft in 1973. Restoring it, Lute said, would be a "major policy shift" and Bush has made it clear that he doesn't think it's necessary.
The repeated deployments affect not only the troops but their families, who can influence whether a service member decides to stay in the military, Lute said.
"There's both a personal dimension of this, where this kind of stress plays out across dinner tables and in living room conversations within these families," he said. "And ultimately, the health of the all- volunteer force is going to rest on those sorts of personal family decisions."
The military conducted a draft during the Civil War and both world wars and between 1948 and 1973. The Selective Service System, re- established in 1980, maintains a registry of 18-year-old men.
Rep. Charles Rangel, D-N.Y., has called for reinstating the draft as a way to end the Iraq war.
Bush picked Lute in mid-May as a deputy national security adviser with responsibility for ensuring efforts in Iraq and Afghanistan are coordinated with policymakers in Washington. Lute, an active-duty general, was chosen after several retired generals turned down the job."Always vote for principle, though you may vote alone, and you may cherish the sweetest reflection that your vote is never lost." -- John Quincy Adams

We have got to look for new conservetive senators and congress members. Those are the ones that will pass the "RIGHT" bill for Americans. Finding people that will vote against Amnesty is the same as a vote for Amnesty, We need representitives who will take an active roll in writing and passing a iron clad federal Anti-illegal immigrant framework that supports the laws being enforced. The framework will make all the BS lawsuites by the Pro Amnesty crowd null and void. The law would basicly make it clear language again. The lanuage would be what it was intended to be all along. Illegal immigrants broke the laws, they have no rights to anything and they must return home. Employers have broke the law, fine them for everyone they have hired. Thats it!
The three candidates we currently have DO NOT CARE IF AMNESTY IS PASSED! As long as nothing gets done to prevent what is going on now, why pass amnesty? The employers know once amnesty is given, the illegals will cost them more money and they don't want that. Plus the fact that the NAU doesn't want to have to check papers on anyone so they can have totally open borders, so in their eyes whats the point in wasting all the time, effort and money doing those things.
Bottom line is we need legislation that attacks the problem of non enforcement, not things that block the people blocking the enforcement.
Basically, we need to get rid of political correctness crooks in the legislative branches and replace them with no non sense Americans who want the laws enforced. There is no problem with the current laws, they are clearly written, the problem is the people won't enforce them, thats who needs to go!Unless we get those criminals & make them pay for what they have done to our country and the lawlessness they have sponsored, we are just another Mexico ourselves!

We need to vote for who we think is the most credible, in my case RP, for President and then focus on the House and Senate elections. Our battle will be in the House and Senate regardless who becomes President between Hilary, Barak, and McInsane! If Ron Paul and who ever other Patriots think is most credible, to there liking, get 10% or more then we are making steps to set the stage for the next election! We have keep to their messages and Patriotic statements viral to everyone we know!
As far as McCain being better than Barak or Hilary I disagree. What good is McCains wishy washy positions that are supposedy better than the latter two when he will complete the NAU and make our Constitution obsolete! People are so gullible to believe the NAU will not be that bad and maybe better than now! Wrong the NAU will take prescedence over USA, Canada, and Mexico's Constitutions just like our federal government is unconstitutionally taking prescedence over State's rights and legislation now!
All the other nonsense that the talk radio people are now talking about in regards to Judicial Branch appointments etc... is now irrelevent with the three socialist we have left. Conservative talk radio should have brought this up months ago before we ended up with wishy, washy, and washed!"As has happened before in our history, if you have open borders poor country governments will pay people to move here, promising them a better life in the New World"*

The only possible way your vote would not count is thru error or fraud. Not voting is NOT the answer. Write in who you think would be best for our country and let the chips fall where they may.
