Please thumb through our archives or use the search feature at the top of the forums or the Google search box for users on our homeapage.

We need to locate these articles as evidence for the national media and post titles and links to the articles beneath the release as fast as possible TODAY.

I think the Camarota report is the only one I have seen thus far that was specifically geared to examine the recent population trend with respect to the IA population. Trans. : ~= it may just be a bit too early to find other corroborating studies on the subject. I think over the next couple months you'll see other orgs. publish their own estimates too.

In the absence of thorough scholarly research, subjective empirical observations might provide some supportive (or not) info about the subject.
Based on my personal observations in my area, I'd say the 8%-10% decrease is plausible and likely accurate as well.

One key intervening or complicating factor in doing this research is this:
While it is relatively simple to gauge whether the IA has moved away from a specific local community, it is much more difficult to know if they simply located to another state or city in the US (eg. they could have just moved on to a more 'IA-friendly' location). The empirical reports of population shifts away from the newly enforcement oriented Oklahoma, Arizona, South Carolina could have simply resulted in the same IAs moving to New Mexico, Texas, North Carolina - eg. respectively. <That, is much more difficult to know really. Plus, the total 'change', to be fully accurate, has to be able to identify a). those that have recently 'left', but also, b). those that have recently 'moved in' - to accurately derive the estimated net difference.

It appears that more illegal aliens are coming to Tennessee since they are leaving other states that have laws in place now to discourage illegal immigration. Tennessee basically passed zero (0) legislation recently to stop illegal immigration and with the go ahead by the State of Tennessee Attorney General for illegal aliens to get married, more will come. This is a repeat of the "give an illegal alien a drivers license" sham. However, in Nashville, the 287 g has resulted in thousands of illegal aliens being identified, processed, and deported. That is a good thing.

Georgia and other states have made efforts to have illegal aliens leave. It is good to know that the 287 g and other measures are causing the illegal aliens to go. We need to keep the momentum going.
