GA: illegals moving from one county to the other?
This article is about the 200 people that protested in downtown Atlanta.
It also claims that a family moved from Cobb Co. to Gwinnett Co. due to Cobb's deportation. I think that Gwinnett Co. and the rest of Georgia needs to step up to the plate. Just having them move from one location to another is no help.

The exact same thing is happening here in North Carolina. Unfortunately, I happen to live in one of the counties thats on the recieving end of Mod-Edit. I can only hope that after the next election the programs go statewide instead of by county.

05-03-2008, 05:18 PM #5About 200 people gathered on the steps of the state capitol Thursday to protest immigration raids and deportations.
The rally, organized by the Georgia Latino Alliance for Human Rights, called for comprehensive immigration reform and an end to the kinds of deportation agreements in effect in Cobb County's jail. From July through March, Cobb sheriff's deputies have worked with federal agents to identity and process 1,632 people for deportation.
Georgia protesters called for human rights for workers everywhere.
Illegal aliens and their supporters do not like the accurate term illegal aliens and prefer the misnomer 'undocumented workers'.
'Undocumented' in what? Documents include papers more than visas.
no medical license?
no marriage license?
no business license?
no lease?
no credit card?
no fishing license?
etc.
'Workers' implies all are employed.
spouses do not always work
infants, children and teens do not work
elderly relatives do not always work
engaged in illegal activities does not constitute the normal definition of work
Georgia protesters called for human rights for workers everywhere.
Everywhere includes their home country.
The right to be heard does not automatically include the right to be taken seriously.
