Glenn Beck: ‘Reliable Sources’ Obama Admin Will Be Dealing With Another Huge Scandal

If These Claims by ‘Reliable Sources’ Are Proven True, the Obama Administration Will Be Dealing With Another Huge Scandal

    Nov. 18, 2013 9:42pm Becket Adams

The U.S. government in the final months leading up to the 2012 presidential election released “faked” unemployment data, according to a bombshell report from the New York Post.

Recall that the unemployment rate from August to September dropped precipitously to 7.8 percent from 8.1 percent. This raised suspicion among certain members of the business community, most notably former General Electric CEO Jack Welch.
“Unbelievable jobs numbers,” Welch said in an Oct. 5 tweet, “these Chicago guys will do anything…can’t debate so change numbers.”
He was quickly attacked by cable news pundits and branded by one group as an “unemployment-rate truther.”
However, Welch’s skepticism towards the September 2012 jobs report may not have been that far-fetched.
The September 2012 job numbers were “manipulated” and the the U.S. Census Bureau, the government agency responsible for the report, knew it, the Post alleges, citing “reliable sources.”
The Post’s anonymous source, who said he’s willing to speak to the Labor Department and Congress about the falsified data if asked to do so, said unemployment data manipulation, which continues to this day, involves more than just one rogue employee.
In fact, a full two years before President Barack Obama won a second term in the White House, the Census Bureau reportedly caught an employee manipulating unemployment data. However, the Post notes, instead of correcting the problem, it only got worse and escalated throughout the 2012 presidential election.
The employee who was caught two years ago, one Julius Buckmon, told the Post in an interview that he “faked” the numbers at the direction of his supervisors.
The Post’s John Crudele explains how Buckmon allegedly manipulated the data:

Ironically, it was Labor’s demanding standards that left the door open to manipulation.
Labor requires Census to achieve a 90 percent success rate on its interviews — meaning it needed to reach 9 out of 10 households targeted and report back on their jobs status.
Census currently has six regions from which surveys are conducted. The New York and Philadelphia regions, I’m told, had been coming up short of the 90 percent.
So how did Philadelphia fill the gap? With fake interviews, Buckmon said.
“It was a phone conversation — I forget the exact words — but it was, ‘Go ahead and fabricate it’ to make it what it was,” he said.
The Census Bureau interviews roughly 60,000 households (each household representing 5,000 homes in the U.S.) and uses the collected data to tabulate the unemployment rate.
Buckmon, however, apparently conducted three times as many interviews than he needed, according to the Post.
“By making up survey results — and, essentially, creating people out of thin air and giving them jobs — Buckmon’s actions could have lowered the jobless rate,” Crudele reports.
“Buckmon said he filled out surveys for people he couldn’t reach by phone or who didn’t answer their doors,” he adds.
The Census Bureau employee, for his part, said he never answered the part of the survey that asks if the respondent is “employed or not, looking for work, or have given up.”
But by making up nonexistent people, Buckmon theoretically could have influenced the final number of persons employed in the U.S. It’s important to note that the Post’s anonymous source — not Buckmon — was supposedly involved in the September 2012 jobs report.

Amazingly enough, the Census Bureau never disclosed this information and apparently never informed the Labor Department of the manipulated data.
“Yes, absolutely they should have told us,” a Labor spokesman told the Post. “It would be normal procedure to notify us if there is a problem with data collection.”
There are reportedly at least a dozen separate reports of falsified data. Buckmon’s “not the only one,” the Post’s anonymous source said.
A spokesperson for the Census Bureau did not immediately return TheBlaze’s request for comment.

Unemployment Numbers Running Up to 2012 Election Were ‘Manipulated’

    Posted on November 18, 2013 by BMartin1776

It is one scandal after another tied to the most corrupt administration in US history. A new report has surfaced claiming the employment numbers were ‘manipulated’ and the Census Bureau ‘knew it’! As if it wasn’t bad enough when we learned the regime delayed obamacare regulations from being implemented last year to save his majesty’s re-election, now this!

There should be no doubt at this point the 2012 election (like him or not) was stolen from Mitt Romney. Obama and the dirtbags in his administration were not only were messing with barackobamacare regs from being released but they were and are actively cooking the books to this day on employment numbers. They delayed barackobamacare regs from being implemented to prevent the nightmare we are living on now so I have no doubt this report is legit that they’re cooking the employment numbers. Fmr GE CEO Jack Welch was right when he called it out last year, and the worst part about all of this is there is nothing we can do about it!

Impeachment is off the table as long as the socialists hold a majority in the Senate under Harry Reid. America I implore you to initiate recall elections on Senate democrats especially Reid. 2014 election is a year away and I know many Americans will forget ALL of this by then re-electing these progressive destroyers into power.

I hope you realize the importance of the mid-term elections now. God knows how much more damage obama and his minions will cause between now and then!

Census ‘faked’ 2012 election jobs report

    By John Crudele | NYP

In the home stretch of the 2012 presidential campaign, from August to September, the unemployment rate fell sharply — raising eyebrows from Wall Street to Washington.

The decline — from 8.1 percent in August to 7.8 percent in September — might not have been all it seemed. The numbers, according to a reliable source, were manipulated.

And the Census Bureau, which does the unemployment survey, knew it.

Just two years before the presidential election, the Census Bureau had caught an employee fabricating data that went into the unemployment report, which is one of the most closely watched measures of the economy.

And a knowledgeable source says the deception went beyond that one employee — that it escalated at the time President Obama was seeking reelection in 2012 and continues today.

“He’s not the only one,” said the source, who asked to remain anonymous for now but is willing to talk with the Labor Department and Congress if asked

Census ‘faked’ 2012 election jobs report

    Modal Trigger
An insider’s account about top down pressure on jobs data—especially during the months leading up to the presidential election—brings a new level of scrutiny to the reliability of official unemployment rates.

“He’s not the only one,” said the source, who asked to remain anonymous for now but is willing to talk with the Labor Department and Congress if asked.

The Census employee caught faking the results is Julius Buckmon, according to confidential Census documents obtained by The Post. Buckmon told me in an interview this past weekend that he was told to make up information by higher-ups at Census.

Philadelphia filled the gap with fake interviews.

“It was a phone conversation — I forget the exact words — but it was, ‘Go ahead and fabricate it’ to make it what it was,” Buckmon told me.

Census, under contract from the Labor Department, conducts the household survey used to tabulate the unemployment rate.

Interviews with some 60,000 household go into each month’s jobless number, which currently stands at 7.3 percent. Since this is considered a scientific poll, each one of the households interviewed represents 5,000 homes in the US.

Buckmon, it turns out, was a very ambitious employee. He conducted three times as many household interviews as his peers, my source said.

By making up survey results — and, essentially, creating people out of thin air and giving them jobs — Buckmon’s actions could have lowered the jobless rate.

Buckmon said he filled out surveys for people he couldn’t reach by phone or who didn’t answer their doors.

But, Buckmon says, he was never told how to answer the questions about whether these nonexistent people were employed or not, looking for work, or have given up.

But people who know how the survey works say that simply by creating people and filling out surveys in their name would boost the number of folks reported as employed.

Census never publicly disclosed the falsification. Nor did it inform Labor that its data was tainted.

“Yes, absolutely they should have told us,” said a Labor spokesman. “It would be normal procedure to notify us if there is a problem with data collection.”

Census appears to have looked into only a handful of instances of falsification by Buckmon, although more than a dozen instances were reported, according to internal documents.

In one document from the probe, Program Coordinator Joal Crosby was ask in 2010, “Why was the suspected … possible data falsification on all (underscored) other survey work for which data falsification was suspected not investigated by the region?”

On one document seen by The Post, Crosby hand-wrote the answer: “Unable to determine why an investigation was not done for CPS,” or the Current Population Survey — the official name for the unemployment report.

With regard to the Consumer Expenditure survey, only four instances of falsification were looked into, while 14 were reported.

I’ve been suspicious of the Census Bureau for a long time.

During the 2010 Census report — an enormous and costly survey of the entire country that goes on for a full year — I suspected (and wrote in a number of columns) that Census was inexplicably hiring and firing temporary workers.

I suspected that this turnover of employees was being done purposely to boost the number of new jobs being report each month. (The Labor Department does not use the Census Bureau for its other monthly survey of new jobs — commonly referred to as the Establishment Survey.)

Last week I offered to give all the information I have, including names, dates and charges to Labor’s inspector general.

I’m waiting to hear back from Labor.

I hope the next stop will be Congress, since manipulation of data like this not only gives voters the wrong impression of the economy but also leads lawmakers, the Federal Reserve and companies to make uninformed decisions.

To cite just one instance, the Fed is targeting the curtailment of its so-called quantitative easing money-printing/bond-buying fiasco to the unemployment rate for which Census provided the false information.

So falsifying this would, in essence, have dire consequences for the country.

Seems I remember Rush Limbaugh talking about this last year before the election, saying that the numbers would be "revised" after the election. He said there was some way they were reporting some preliminary number (I believe) that has not been adjusted for something they usually adjust for.

Hope the media and everyone jumps all over Obama for this!!

Using the "Magic Pencil" is part of government, I expect the true unemployment rate is around 14% or higher they simply do not count people who have dropped out of the system or not receiving unemployment checks. With less then half of our population working we are on a path to destruction as we lose more and more of our tax base government will seek other ways to exist and that means taking personal property if necessary. No country can survive what is happening, losing jobs, importing poor under educated workers, printing/borrowing money, dispensing welfare here and all over the world while at the same time corrupt government skims off the top all this equals disaster.
I'm old with many opinions few solutions.

More Lies: Obama under investigation for stealing the election for fake unemployment numbers

Posted on 20 November, 2013 by Dylan

    Phony President

(THE HILL) -- The House Oversight Committee is vowing to thoroughly investigate a report that unemployment data was falsified months before the 2012 presidential election.

The New York Post reported Monday evening that a Census Bureau employee had been found fabricating unemployment survey data that helped determine the nation’s jobless rate.

Rep. Blake Farenthold (R-Texas) told The Hill Tuesday that the Oversight panel plans to probe the findings, which he called “extremely serious.”“The allegation that data gathered by the Census Bureau is being manipulated for any reason is extremely serious. The Oversight Committee has jurisdiction over the Census Bureau and will be thoroughly investigating these claims,” he said in a statement.

Farenthold chairs the Oversight subcommittee with jurisdiction over the census. A bureau representative did not respond to a request for comment.
