Yup, we're fighting so that our children -- and children of legal immigrants -- can grow up in a first world nation like we did: a country that respects George Washington, apple pie and the 4th of July. A place where our young children put on their red, white and blue construction paper hats and march in Flag Day parades. A place where our kids learn the value of hard work and money by mowing lawns, shoveling snow and working at the gas station. Good roads, good schools, and maybe a little Social Security down the line.

I respect people of ALL backgrounds and have sympathy for those less fortunate than us who are just trying to make better lives for themselves. BUT we cannot absorb tens of millions of impoverished citizens from corrupt countries so that businsses get cheap labor. We are a COUNTRY dammit, not a borderless market place!

Sorry for this long post, BUT PLEASE KEEP THIS IN MIND WHILE FIGHTING THIS WEEK AND BEYOND. We have to do this, if not for us, for our next generation and their futures. And Happy Father's Day to all you dads!!
