    Utterly, completely confident.

We WILL win this! We will. The advantage always goes to the home team. The politicians might not like it, but they know their jobs depend on our votes and if there's a person left in this country who doesn't realize jorge is mentally ill, I'd be surprised.

If it's worth having it's worth fighting for and our great nation is certainly worth fighting for or "they" wouldn't be here. It's a scary ride but when it's over, can you imagine how exhilarated we'll feel?

Yeee Haaaa!! As georgie porgie himself said, "Bring it on!"

Tired, bleary-eyed but very hopeful for a victory. Just waiting for 6:00am so I can start phoning the toll free switch board in Washington. My phone card ran out about an hour ago.

I'm thinking about something another activist sent me from La Voz de Azatlan. It said if this bill doesn't go through the senate, they'll be taking to the streets in more megamarches, but this time there will be massive civil disobedience. I'm thinking - Yea! bring it on. Those first marches woke up alot of Americans who had only seen a few illegals here and there. That was quite a visual they got of 500.000 in the streets halting traffic and waving foreign flags, desecrating our flag. And those demonstrations were relatively peaceful. Can you imagine if those huge crowds start getting out of control because they are angrier this time for not getting their way yet? I think that would bring out alot of American voters who've been trying to look the other way, trying to just get along, trying to pretend nothing is happening. Well, why don't I just go find it .....Here it is...

Forces of xenophobia lose US Senate vote on cloture

Anti-immigrant organizations suffered a defeat today on the
floor of the US Senate. The vote was for re-opening debate
on the immigration reform bill that just two and a half weeks ago
seemed doomed. The vote was 64 for reviving the bill and 35
against. One Senator did not vote.

"Immigrants are the strength of this country, and this legislation
honors that fact," said Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.),
who along with Senator Ted Kennedy (D-Mass.), was instrumental
in reviving the bill. The Senate vote now sets the stage for a
contentious battle concerning amendments and a final vote on
the bill. If the bill clears the Senate it will go the House of
    Representatives.

Pro-immigrants organizations are prepared to take the battle to the
streets if things come to worse. Among the strategies proposed
are "non-cooperation" and "massive civil disobedience". These
actions will be combined with work stoppages and economic
boycotts of strategic products and services.

Well, maybe if they get out in the streets and get violent, our government will finally send in some national guard like they do when Americans get like that...which doesn't happen often, but again, there's the culture clash.
