Jill Kelley Helped Muslim Nations, Hezbollah Infiltrate Central Command, MacDill Base; “Go To Girl” For Muslim Parties w/ Generals

    By Debbie Schlussel

Jill Khawam Kelley was the hand-picked lobbyist for Muslim nations and their agenda at Central Command.

Kelley, who is part of the soap opera that the Petraeus scandal spawned, was in charge of hosting parties and social events to push the Islamic agenda of Middle Eastern countries. She was seen by Muslim Mid-East nations, especially Hezbollah-controlled Lebanon, as the “go to” woman to push their agenda on top American generals. She was a lobbyist for their cause and, yet, wasn’t required to register as a lobbyist, like all others who host lavish parties for top American officials, like she did, in an attempt to influence U.S. policy in the Middle East.

Gen. David Petraeus w/ the Arab Nations’ Agent of Influence @ Central Command, Jill Kelley

Kelley, a dhimmi Christian Arab of Lebanese descent, was well known in the Muslim Arab embassies of Washington for doing their bidding and hosting their parties at and near MacDill Air Force Base in Tampa, where our nation’s top generals are based. It’s where Central Command–the U.S. Armed Forces’ leadership over wars and military personnel Middle East–is headquartered.

When a friend of mine said that he thought the financially troubled Khawam sisters, Kelley and Natalie Khawam, were spies for Lebanon and the Arab world, I originally expressed skepticism. I believed that these twin sisters with obvious twin nose jobs were merely bimbo gold diggers in slutty outfits, who used their Delilah ways to first nab rich husbands, and then nab idiotic top American generals to participate in Lifetime-Channel-worthy bitter child custody disputes. But then I learned that Ms. Kelley, who was until this week under the radar, was quietly involved in pushing the agenda of Muslim Arab nations on our nation’s top generals with whom she’d grown close by design. I don’t think it’s a coincidence that Ms. Kelley got her hooks into our two top generals in the Middle East, David Petraeus and John Allen. I’m now convinced that my friend, lawyer Gary Welsh of Advance Indiana, who has excellent instincts, was correct.

I’ve long written about the infiltration of Central Command at MacDill Air Base in Tampa by Islamic terrorists. Islamic Jihad founder and convicted Islamic terrorist, Sami Al-Arian, was an instructor on the Middle East to our top generals at MacDill Air Force Base AT THE VERY SAME TIME that he was planning mergers and terrorist attacks in Israel with “the brothers of HAMAS” and while he was bringing Muslim illegal alien Islamic terrorists to the U.S. Al-Arian’s friend and co-conspirator, Ramadan Abdullah Shallah (one of those Al-Arian brought here), who became the Secretary-General of the worldwide Islamic Jihad terrorist group, was also a lecturer at MacDill and also taught our top generals his poisonous views on the Middle East and Israel. FBI and INS agents who investigated Shallah and Al-Arian were alarmed at the influence these two top Islamic terrorists had over CentCom. They were also alarmed to find many books on the inner workings of MacDill in Shallah’s house when they raided it.

So when people ask me how I think these women were able to insert themselves into top generals’ lives and topple them (along with, apparently, the men they married), I think back to the fact that our top generals gladly allowed top terrorists to infiltrate Central Command as alleged “professors” on the Middle East. And when generals like Petraeus and Norman Schwarzkopf, Jr. openly attack Israel and America’s relationship with Israel, people like Jill Khawam Kelley and Al-Arian and Shallah are the reason why. Khawam Kelley isn’t an innocent socialite. She’s an agent of influence for Arab Muslim nations.

    The Washington Post reports:
A military officer who is a former member of Petraeus’s staff said Kelley was a “self-appointed” go-between for Central Command officers with Lebanese and other Middle Eastern officials. . . . At the parties Jill Kelley hosted at her Tampa mansion, guests were frequently treated to the indulgences of celebrity life: valet parking, string quartets on the lawn, premium cigars and champagne, and caviar-laden buffets.

The main recipients of the largess were military brass — including some of the nation’s most senior commanders — based at nearby MacDill Air Force Base.

Kelley flaunted her access to these military VIPs. . . . The investigations of Petraeus’s and Allen’s actions, nonetheless, have raised questions about how Kelley, a woman with no formal military role, cultivated such close ties to two of the nation’s most revered generals.
One former aide to Allen, who like others spoke on the condition of anonymity given the sensitivity of the case, suggested that Kelley had become a de facto social ambassador among high-ranking personnel at MacDill, home to the U.S. Central Command and Special Operations Command.
    The Wall Street Journal reports:
Middle Eastern diplomats in Washington also knew Ms. Kelley, who came from a Lebanese immigrant family and who helped arrange social activities when dignitaries from the region visited Tampa, diplomats said. She also sometimes attended parties at Washington embassies.
I guarantee you that Jill Khawam Kelley wasn’t hosting visits from dignitaries from Israel. And, other than those from Israel, every single “Middle Eastern diplomat” in Washington is a Muslim, most of them Muslim Arabs. And all of them Muslims with an agenda that is anti-Israel and anti-Western. And definitely not in America’s best interests. They come to Tampa for one reason and one reason only–to ingratiate themselves with the top military brass at CentCom at MacDill.
And Jill Khawam Kelley was their social director in that mission.

Kelley’s sister, Natalie Khawam, was married to a top Bush administration official, Grayson Wolfe, Director of Broader Middle East Initiatives and Iraqi Reconstruction at the Export-Import Bank of the United States, and frequently accompanied him on trips to the Middle East, including to Pakistan. Before that position, Wolfe was the Bush-installed Manager of the Private Sector Development Office of the Coalition Provisional Authority in Baghdad, Iraq. How many of the Khawam’s insider Arab Muslim friends did he give sweetheart contracts to?

Before It’s News has more and asks more questions about the consulting and contracting firm that Wolfe now heads. Although they are now embroiled in a bitter custody fight over their son, you have to wonder what influence Khawam had on him and what was done in the Middle East. She recently sued her former employer, a Jewish lawyer, Barry Cohen, but gave up after her lawsuit was shown to be phony. Cohen struck back and found that Khawam engaged in bankruptcy fraud.

My friend wasn’t so far-fetched when he insisted the Khawam chicks are modern day Mata Haris for the Muslim Arabs.
Just look at what they’ve accomplished for the Muslim Mid-East, all of it under the radar . . . until Paula Broadwell had the stupidity to send her threatening e-mails and Jill Khawam Kelley had the stupidity of complaining about it to shirtless FBI agent Frederic Humphries.

Sad, I guess the world has changed, in my military days(dark ages) we recognized the "good from the bad" if we didn't we had some mature officers who clued us in, the rate of fools have increased with our population growth.
I'm old with many opinions few solutions.

Woman in Petraeus scandal visited White House

    2:27 PM 11/16/2012
    Associated Press

WASHINGTON (AP) — An Obama administration official says a Tampa Bay socialite whose emails triggered the eventual downfall of CIA director David Petraeus visited the White House three times this year with her sister, twice eating in the Executive Mansion mess.

The official says that Jill Kelley, who initiated an investigation that ultimately unveiled Petraeus’ extramarital affair, and her sister had two “courtesy” meals at the White House mess as guests of a mid-level White House aide. Kelley and her family also received a White House tour. The visits occurred during the past three months.

The official spoke on condition of anonymity because those visitor records have not yet been made public.

The official said the White House aide who hosted her met the Kelley family at MacDill Air Force Base near Tampa.

Why Paula Broadwell Sent Those Emails

    It wasn’t jealousy

by Justin Raimondo, November 16, 2012

When it comes to grandstanding, few politicians can outdo Senators John McCain and Lindsey Graham. A few hours before the President’s first press conference since the election, this duo had one of their own, demanding a "Water-gate"-like special congressional investigation into the attack on our Benghazi CIA secret prison "consulate." As if at least three congressional committees looking into the matter isn’t enough, they want another one – just to make sure it comes to the right conclusions.
And what are those conclusions? It’s the same Fox News party line that we’ve been hearing since Day One: according to the wingnuts, the President and his administration deliberately withheld military and security support from the "consulate," and ordered rescue teams to stand down while Ambassador Chris Stevens, and three others, were sacrificed on the altar of the President’s reelection campaign.

You may ask: why would Obama, then-CIA chief Gen. David Petraeus, and the Pentagon pull such a deadly and heinous betrayal? Although it is never said out loud – except by the nuttiest of the wingnuts – the clear implication is that the White House is inhabited by traitors. It all makes perfect "sense" if you fervently believe the President is a secret Muslim.

For those whose ears aren’t quite attuned to the dog whistling of the Fox News/Karl Rove media combine, we have Charles Krauthammer, who gives essentially the same tired old story a conspiratorial twist (with a dash of scandal): the administration, he avers, was holding the knowledge of his affair with Paula Broadwell over Petraeus’s head, supposedly forcing him to testify at a Sept. 13 congressional briefing that the "Innocence of Muslims" video was a significant factor in the Benghazi attack. Obama isn’t just a secret Muslim, you see: he’s a blackmailer, too.

It’s truly a sickening and singularly unconvincing narrative, not least because these three stooges of the War Party – McCain, Graham, and Krauthammer – all hailed the US intervention in Libya, while criticizing the President for being too "late and slow" about it. When radical Islamists allied with al-Qaeda were installed in Tripoli and Benghazi by NATO air power and mobs of howling savages on the ground, the War Party – personified by this tiresome trio – were over the moon. Now they’re complaining about the consequences of our great "victory" – "it’s a good day for Libya, America, and the world," Krauthammer crowed at the time. But was it?

When it comes to the Benghazi attack, all parties agree on one thing: the security arrangements provided for the CIA station/consulate were inadequate. Unarmed security guards employed by an obscure UK-based firm nobody had ever heard of, and the "protection" afforded by the February 17 Brigade, a key militia group that led the uprising against Qaddafi in Benghazi and was being "trained" by the CIA, were all the protection they had. Perhaps the State Department was confident the February 17 gang would defend them if attacked. The only problem was that the Brigade, itself a radical Islamist outfit, did nothing while the Ansar al-Sharia group – another, even more hard-line Islamist "militia" – stormed the diplomatic compound, and, later, the CIA station a mile or so away. Indeed, the consulate "guards" alerted the attackers as to the whereabouts of Ambassador Stevens and his staff, who had fled to the nearby CIA station after the initial assault.

Those "guards" came from a small outfit known as Blue Mountain Security. This was mainly a travel company catering to adventurous tourists until the "liberation" of Libya, when they managed to get around Libyan regulations on foreign security providers by partnering up with a "local" security organization. Except it wasn’t at all local: the Eclipse Group is a shadowy organization run by Iran-Contra co-conspirator and neocon loony Duane Clarridge, who boasts of running his own "private" CIA. It was this group, which just happened to have a license to operate in Libya, that gave Blue Mountain access to the Libyan security market.

Isn’t it funny how neocons turn up in the weirdest places? All you have to do is probe a bit beneath the surface of practically any foreign policy disaster, and there they are, like bugs scittering away in droves the deeper one digs.

Speaking of neocons, we now know the identity of the Shirtless Guy, the FBI agent whose dogged pursuit of the source of those "harassing" emails led to the exposure of Petraeus’s affair with Paula Broadwell and the CIA chief’s downfall:

"The agent, Frederick W. Humphries II, 47, is also described by former colleagues as relentless in his pursuit of what he sees as wrongdoing, which appears to describe his role in the F.B.I. investigation involving Mr. Petraeus. Suspecting that the case involved serious security issues and was being stalled, possibly for political reasons – a suspicion his superiors say was unjustified – he took his concerns to Congressional Republicans.
“Fred is a passionate kind of guy,’ one former colleague said. ‘He’s kind of an obsessive type. If he locked his teeth onto something, he’d be a bulldog.’"

Humphries, a former Army captain and military intelligence officer, is a friend of Jill Kelley, the woman whose "cyber-stalking" complaint triggered the investigation that eventually uncovered the Petraeus- Broadwell liaison. He reportedly became so "obsessed" by the case that his superiors forbade him from getting involved in it, and so he went around them: to the Republican congressional leadership, which spilled the beans to the top guns at the FBI. From there it went to DNI James Clapper, who insisted Petraeus resign. Humphries was convinced "the case was being stalled for political reasons," according to the Times: an earlier Times account attributed his impatience to his "worldview."

What "worldview" is that? The Times describes his "conservative political views," and a look at his background should give us a few clues.

To begin with, he was instrumental in the investigation that foiled the so-called Millennium terrorist plot of 1990. Current headlines describe him as a "hero." However, other cases in which he figured prominently paint a definitely unheroic portrait of a man consumed by hatred of Muslims. In 2007, Humphries went after Youssef Megahed, a USF student arrested in South Carolina while on a road trip with a newly acquired friend, Ahmed Mohamed. They had been pulled over for speeding and the police found suspicious items in the car: PVC pipes filled with potassium nitrate. Mohamed said they were "model rockets," while the government admitted they were "low explosives."

The two were charged with illegal transportation of explosive materials and possession of destructive devices, but neither was convicted on those counts. However, Mohamed got a 15-year sentence for a Youtube video explaining how to convert a toy car remote control device into a detonator.

Megahed was acquitted of all charges, but the fanatical Humphries pursued him, and he was re-arrested, this time on suspicion of posing a “terrorist” threat. "We felt that Mr. Megahed was willingly providing assistance to Mr. Mohamed, who is a self-professed terrorist," averred Humphries at the trial. What was the evidence against Megahed? As Megahed’s lawyer put it:

"The only thing the government did — and I think it’s important for people to understand this — is they put on a supervisory FBI agent who testified about what other people investigated, and they put on a forensics computer examiner who basically said, ‘Here’s Youssef’s history on his computer,’ without giving context to either of those. And when we pointed out and were able to discuss what these two witnesses — the actual context of the allegations against Youssef, it became crystal clear that there was nothing there. There was simply no basis to the charges against Youssef."

In short, Humphries’s testimony and that of the "forensics expert" was pure innuendo, which is why the judge threw it out and freed Megahed. This should give us some idea of the "worldview" espoused by Petraeus’s pursuer.

This story says Humphries gave a talk on Afghanistan at the "FBI Citizen’s Academy," and that his friend, Jill Kelley – another key catalyst in the outing of Petraeus – also attended. Other news outlets are claiming they met there for the first time. In any case, the two became close – although the shirtless picture Humphries sent her is said to be non-sexual in nature – and when Kelley started receiving anonymous emails warning her to stay away from Petraeus she went to Humphries. He became convinced he had uncovered a grave security threat because the emailer seemed to have inside knowledge of the movements of both Petraeus and Gen. John Allen, the top US commander in Afghanistan.

Ms. Kelley is fast eclipsing Broadwell as the central player in this drama, which many have compared to a soap opera — but which may in fact be more akin to a spy thriller.
Kelley, 37, is married to Scott Kelley, a surgeon at a hospital in Tampa, Florida: the couple lives in a $1.5 million mansion "a stone’s throw" away from MacDill Air Force Base, headquarters of CENTCOM. The daughter of Lebanese parents who came to the US in the 1970s "due to political disputes," according to Al Arabiya, her family is Maronite Christian. Kelley was described by a onetime member of Petraeus’s staff as a "’self-appointed’ go-between for Central Command officers with Lebanese and other Middle Eastern government officials."

One can’t help wondering: which Middle Eastern governments?

Kelley and her husband moved to Tampa a decade ago, and she soon became the center of a social whirlwind involving top CENTCOM officers, including Petraeus and Allen. Famous for her lavish parties, with white tents on her manicured lawn and valet parking, she was known as the unofficial "social liaison" for MacDill and the surrounding community. (Although if you were anything less than a colonel, you could forget about getting an invite to one of her sparkling galas). She worked hard at becoming a fixture, even getting a special pass to MacDill which allowed her to breeze in and out: the pass, as you might imagine, has since been revoked.

A sumptuous mansion, a Mercedes and a BMG in the driveway, a reputation as a socialite with rather expensive tastes – these insignia of wealth hid a miasma of debt, foreclosures, and creditor lawsuits that belied the glossy surface of her life. As USA Today reports:

"The $2.1 million purchase of a three-story office building downtown ended in foreclosure. The couple defaulted on a $250,000 line of credit and owe thousands on credit cards.
"Chase Bank sued for $25,880 in 2010.
"FIA Card Services sued in February for $79,876, including more than $75,000 in cash advances on a Visa Signature card.
"Regions Bank sued in August 2010 after the Kelleys failed to make payments on $250,000 borrowed July 19, 2005. The bank ultimately settled for $85,000 and required the Kelleys to pay $850 a month toward the debt."

There was also a seemingly dubious cancer charity run by Jill and her husband, which also lists her twin sister, Natalie, as an officer. Almost half the money raised went to expenses: no one knows where the other half went. More recently, Kelley attended the Tampa GOP convention, where she met a New York City businessman who was convinced by her that she could get him a no bid coal gasification contract with the South Korean government: the hook was her relationship with Petraeus, which she said would guarantee the contract. He flew her to New York to discuss the details, but soon discovered she had no idea what she was talking about after she demanded an $80 million payment.

Sister Natalie Khawam is also quite the card: police records indicate at least half a dozen calls from Ms. Khawam concerning alleged prowlers, unwanted visits from supposed agents of her ex-boyfriend, and other domestic dramas. The boyfriend may be her ex-husband, or perhaps lobbyist Gerald Harrington, a bigtime Democratic party contributor and military lobbyist associated with Rhode Island Senator Sheldon Whitehouse and John Kerry. Khazam’s bankruptcy records indicate Harrington "loaned" her $300,000. In another weird twist, both Petraeus and Allen intervened in a child custody case involving Khawam and her ex-husband: both sent letters to the judge praising her to the skies.

However, as the Tampa Bay Times put it:

"The court had a different opinion. ‘Ms. Khawam appears to lack any appreciation or respect for the importance of honesty and integrity in her interactions with her family, employers, and others with whom she comes in contact,’ a judge wrote after a litany of hearings and psychological evaluations. ‘The court fully expects that Ms. Khawam’s pattern of misrepresentations about virtually everything, including the most important aspects of her life, will continue indefinitely.’"

    Harsh!

Millions of dollars in debt, Khazam moved into the Tampa Bay mansion with her sister. The two made a formidable team as they carved out a niche at the intersection of Tampa’s social elite and MacDill’s military brass. Kelley, says the Tampa Bay Times, was "determined to make her footprint" after moving to Tampa in 2003, and was apparently very clear on setting up shop as close to MacDill as possible. She "knocked on doors up and down Bayshore Boulevard, asking homeowners if their house was for sale. She wanted the prestigious address, and she got it. In June 2004, the couple paid $1.5 million for a 4,800-square-foot brick mansion with stately white pillars and a view of Hillsborough Bay, just six miles from MacDill Air Force Base."

They became renown for the untrammeled extravagance of their parties, where "there was always more than anybody could possibly eat," according to one guest. Behind the façade of wealth and self-assurance, however, the sisters were slowly sinking into an ocean of debt and accompanying litigation.

When we put what we know about the Kelley household together, we come up with a clear pattern and set of motivations pointing to an ulterior motive behind all this frenetic socializing and status-seeking:

    1) To say they were living beyond their means is a bit of an understatement: saddled with an enormous debt – the mortgage on their house was in serious arrears – one has to wonder where they got all the money for this constant round of entertaining.
    2) Jill Kelley made a "determined" effort to buy a house at a prestigious address minutes away from MacDill. She was very specific about where she wanted to live, almost as if she were setting up a "scene" – but to what purpose?
    3) Kelley waged an aggressive campaign to embed herself and her family into the social life of MacDill, cultivating top-ranking officers such as Petraeus and Allen, continuing her relationship with these two after they left the area. At every charity event, every "outreach" effort by MacDill to the local community, there she was, right in the center of things. Her whole life revolved around these activities: it was, in effect, her job.
    4) As Petraeus’s former staff member phrases her job description, she was a "’self-appointed’ go-between for Central Command officers with Lebanese and other Middle Eastern government officials."
Lebanon’s Christian Maronite community has a long history of persecution at the hands of Muslim radicals, and also one of political extremism in their own ranks. The violently anti-Muslim Phalangist movement, which engaged in several massacres, has its base in the Maronite community: they were the main pogromists at Sabra and Shatilla. Allied with the Israelis, the Maronites fought – and continue to fight – against the Muslim majority: the links between the Phalangists and other Christian extremist groups and Israeli intelligence is well-documented.
Enter FBI agent and anti-Muslim fanatic Humphries, on a crusade to save the West from infiltration, who believed the investigation into the "harassing" emails was being suppressed by the Obama administration, and you have all the ingredients of a political and ideological vendetta aimed at bringing down not only Petraeus but also That Secret Muslim in the White House.

A whole section of the loony-tunes right-wing in this country fervently believes the US government has been infiltrated by the Muslim Brotherhood. And their paranoia is completely nonpartisan: Frank Gaffney, of the vehemently pro-Israel Center for Security Policy, and the equally nutty and voluble David Horowitz – former New Leftist Black Panther groupie – turned right-wing conspiracy theorist – have both been pushing for years the crazy notion that the Bush administration was infested with Muslim fifth columnists. Their prime target: none other than Grover Norquist, the libertarian anti-tax advocate who is married to a Palestinian woman, and, among his other subversive activities, helped found a free market institute aimed at the Islamic world.

If Humphries’s "worldview" was similar to or even shaped by these nutballs, then his actions make perfect "sense": after all, the investigation into the emails was faltering, in his view, and what else could it be but those evil fifth columnists who had squelched the probe? Yet he wasn’t going to relent: this one wasn’t going to get away like Megahed did. He would go over their heads, expose the terrorist conspiracy, and – as in the Millennium case – be hailed as a hero.

However, instead of going to the Justice Department, or the chair of a congressional intelligence committee, he turned to the Republicans, and specifically House majority leader Rep. Eric Cantor. It was the tag team of Humphries, Kelley, and Cantor who revealed Petraeus’s secret to the world – although Kelley didn’t count on the FBI going into her emails and there discovering hundreds of pages of email between her and Gen. Allen.

Which leads us to the question: why did Broadwell send the harassing emails, warning Allen off of Kelley and telling the latter to back off from Petraeus? The sex-obsessed American media is naturally focusing on the salacious aspects of L’affaire Petraeus, but the reality is that neither Petraeus nor Allen was likely romantically involved with the Lebanese spitfire. I would suggest it wasn’t jealousy that motivated Broadwell, it was a desire to protect her lover – and Gen. Allen – from falling into a trap: instead, she set if off by her actions. This wasn’t a love triangle – it was a failed counterintelligence operation, and the end of a tragic love story in which the beloved was unknowingly betrayed by her lover.

We are now being treated to the spectacle of the whole "anti-terrorist" wingnut media machine pumping out the narrative of a craven and traitorous White House supposedly covering up the "real" story of what happened in Benghazi. In typical neocon style, this narrative – summed up by Krauthammer’s "blackmail" thesis – is not only a lie, it is the exact opposite of the truth. Far from being blackmailed by the administration, Petraeus was set up and hung out to dry by a murky cabal on the other end of the political spectrum.

I would note that at both ends of the twin scandals roiling official Washington – Benghazi and the Petraeus affair – we find similar catalytic elements of a definitely neoconnish complexion. At the Benghazi end, we have the Blue Mountain/Eclipse Group/Duane Clarridge connection, and on the Petreaus side we have the Humphries/Kelley/Cantor cabal, with hints of involvement by a certain "Middle Eastern government" thrown in for good measure.

Is that a coincidence, or what?

Jill Kelley Flew with Top Brass on “Mini-Air Force One” at Tax Payer Expense

    Kurt Nimmo
    November 22, 2012

Another fine example of the sort of every-day squandering of tax payer money by government. “Public servants” take the sort of behavior government socialite Jill Kelley and the Pentagon engaged in for granted, that’s why it will continue unabated short of drastic measures on the part of citizens. We witnessed a prime example of this mindset the other day when “public employees” demanded Congress leave them out of any budget cutting considerations now that the “fiscal cliff” (more like an abyss) rapidly approaches.

From a local television station in Tampa, Florida:
Not only did Jill Kelley have MacDill’s top brass over at her house, but 10 News has learned she also took multiple flights on military aircraft at taxpayer expense.

In at least one instance, Kelley flew to the nation’s capital with General John Allen, the commander of US forces in Afghanistan.

Top officers have access to VIP planes like the C-40, a sort of mini-Air Force One with special communications gear. There’s also a modified corporate jet, the C-37A, reserved for high-level officers.

10 News has made numerous requests for flight records to see just how many times Kelley has flown on government-owned planes, but so far the Pentagon says it has not been able to track down the answer.
You know, sort of like the trillions of dollars they were unable to find the day before the attacks of September 11, 2001.

    Read the rest here.

“The pro-Obama group wants to avoid large conventional commitments. They want to rely on cyber-warfare, drones, assassinations, bombing, raids by special forces, and economic warfare in the form of trade sanctions and technology embargoes.”

Sometimes, generals purge politicians. In 1648, during the English Civil War, Colonel Pride and his troops removed those members of the Long Parliament who opposed military domination; the puppets who remained were called the Rump Parliament.

This year, a cabal of generals evidently believed it could secure the White House for Mitt Romney by staging the Benghazi incident and using it as the signal for a cold coup under cover of elections — probably including computer-generated election fraud — to bring down Obama. They guessed wrong.

Politicians sometimes purge generals. When the French Secret Army Organization (OAS) staged a putsch in Algiers in April 1961 to prevent the independence of Algeria, President de Gaulle had to round up and jail a number of generals and other officers. The Obama administration and its establishment controllers appear to be ousting a number of intelligence and military officials who took part in illegal operations to replace Obama with Romney. These sackings are being presented to the public under the guise of soap opera sexual infractions or expense account padding, in the hope of hiding some real mechanisms of power from the popular gaze. The outgoing US military cabal favors the extension of colonial wars, like those in Iraq and Afghanistan, as well as an attack on Iran. Good riddance.

General Petraeus: Neocon Who Sought War with Iran

The most spectacular example is the fall of General David Petraeus, the CIA director, and one of the leading US advocates of an early war with Iran. The heads of several other rogue figures are rolling. The result is one of those rare moments when parts of the rogue network or invisible government can be observed by those who have enough knowledge to understand what they are seeing. But the firings have only scratched the surface.

The Romney backers were made up of neocons, Bush holdovers, and members of the Mormon Mafia in the intelligence community — a relatively narrow base. The Obama supporters were the Brzezinski-Nye soft power group and military opposed to the Iran war. The neocons and reactionary Mormons wanted to restore aggressive war and wholesale bombing as the preferred option for US foreign policy. Although they love drones and assassinations, they want to keep significant US conventional forces in the Middle East.

The pro-Obama group wants to avoid large conventional commitments. They want to rely on cyber-warfare, drones, assassinations, bombing, raids by special forces, and economic warfare in the form of trade sanctions and technology embargoes. When they want to destroy a country like Syria, they do not favor direct US invasion or bombing, but rather seek to use proxies like Turkey and the al-Qaeda patsy network to get the double benefit of weakening both ally and enemy. Above all, they love color revolutions and soft-power subversion.
Benghazi, September 11: CIA assets kill US envoy while CIA team is ordered to stand down and other CIA assets fail to intervene
The Benghazi consulate was prevalently a CIA post, with significant military capabilities. Ambassador Stevens had strong CIA connections and served as a liaison with the al-Qaeda-linked terrorists of the Benghazi-Derna-Tobruk corridor, whom the CIA is using for the attack on Syria. His last conversation with a Turkish diplomat was evidently a discussion on this topic.

Stevens and others thought they had nothing to fear because their relations with the Islamist fighters were so cordial. The attack that killed Stevens was carried out by forces under the control of Sufiyan Qumu (also Kumu or Gumu), who had been held in Guantanamo for several years and released as a CIA asset for the overthrow of Gaddafi. A significant group of CIA paramilitaries stationed nearby was ordered to stand down by the CIA command structure.

Another CIA asset, the February 17 Martyrs Brigade, which had in the summer of 2011 assassinated General Younes in order to help the CIA operative General Hifter to take control of the rebel army, had contracted to provide additional security, but also did not intervene. General Petraeus went to the movies that night. On September 14, Petraeus told the House Intelligence committee that the Benghazi incident had been spontaneous, a demonstration gone violent.

This is the line which Susan Rice mouthed on television in mid-September. (She should be fired for other reasons.) The Obama administration was in any case eager to hide the fact that it had turned Libya over to al-Qaeda. The goal of Benghazi was an early October surprise to Carterize Obama, and the CIA was commanded by Petraeus.

Petraeus arrived at the CIA on September 6, 2011. Within a month, a new provocation was launched against Iran in the form of absurd accusations that members of the Quds Force were plotting to assassinate the Saudi ambassador to Washington, DC. Intelligence community conduit David Ignatius wrote at the time that a big reason the implausible plot story gained credibility was the “fact the CIA [meaning Petraeus] and other intelligence agencies gathered information corroborating the informants’ juicy allegations” implicating the Quds Force and the Iranian Revolutionary Guards Corps.

In reality, the patsies involved came from the Drug Enforcement Administration and/or the Mujaheddin e-Khalq (MEK), an anti-Iranian terrorist force maintained by the US in Iraq. The MEK has now been rewarded by being removed from the State Department’s list of terrorist organizations. (David Ignatius, “Those Keystone Iranians: Why Such a Crude at Assassination Plot?, Washington Post, October 12, 2011) The goal of the operation was to abort possible diplomatic solutions to tensions between NATO and Iran.

In Washington, the neocon Petraeus was always considered as General Betray-US, Bush’s warlord and the key front man for the Iraq surge. He was the darling of the civilian chickenhawk neocons, who saw in him a presidential vehicle to return to power after the debacles in Afghanistan and Iraq. Petraeus’ neocon sherpas were Frederick Kagan and Max Boot, who also helped him to refurbish his image concerning Israel.

Obama was always afraid that Petraeus would run for president, and when Romney took the nomination, feared that Petraeus might be a candidate for vice president.

Like General George Marshall on the evening of December 6, 1941 — who stayed conveniently out of the loop under various pretexts because he wanted the Pearl Harbor attack to occur as a means of damaging President Roosevelt — Petraeus was at the movies during the Benghazi attack, attending a private screening at the Canadian Embassy of the movie Argo with Ben Afflek, which deals with a 1979 covert CIA operation in Tehran.

The Night of the Long Knives

The hatred of key members of the US officer corps for Obama was illustrated through the comments of Petraeus’ friend, the warmonger General Stanley McChrystal, who was ousted in June 2010. In addition to Petraeus, the following officers are also either sacked or the object of scandals or investigations:

Marine General John R. Allen is in trouble. Currently the commander of US forces in Afghanistan, Allen had been slated to take over from Admiral Stavridis as NATO Supreme Commander, but Obama has now put this nomination on hold. Allen is accused of having an improper relationship with the Tampa, Florida hostess and socialite Jill Kelley, originally of the Lebanese Khawam family. Mrs. Kelley had insinuated herself into the social circle of generals at McDill Air Force Base, the location of the US Central command. Allen and Petraeus both wrote letters to a judge supporting Kelley’s twin sister in a child custody fight. According to some accounts, Allen sent either 30,000 pages or 30,000 e-mails to Kelly over a few years. Allen denies wrongdoing, but the handwriting is on the wall.

General Carter Ham, commander of US Africom, whose area of responsibility includes Libya, manifestly failed to send forces to stop the attack on the Benghazi consulate and CIA post. Panetta announced on October 18 that Ham was being replaced. The official line is that Ham decided to retire of his own volition. There were many days of confusion in Washington about his leaving.

Admiral James G. Stavridis, the outgoing NATO Supreme Commander, has been officially reprimanded by Navy Secretary Ray Mabus for lavish spending on his personal lifestyle, including a junket to a wine dinner in France. He will soon leave his post.

General William E. “Kip” Ward, who commanded US Africom from October 2007 to March 2011, presided over the preparation and launching of the attack on Libya. On the surface, Ward is accused of spending several hundred thousand dollars of government money and resources on family members, luxury junkets, and flights. He had been under investigation for a year and a half, but it was announced on November 13 that he would be fined $82,000 and demoted from full general to lieutenant general, reducing his pension.

Lieutenant General Patrick J. O’Reilly, the Director of the Pentagon’s Missile Defense Agency, has also been reprimanded by the Defense Department’s Inspector General for intimidating and humiliating subordinates, thus creating a work environment characterized by one subordinate as “management by blowtorch and pliers.” (Washington Post, November 15, 2012) O’Reilly is being ousted from his post before the conclusion of the usual four year tenure, and demoted to major general. His departure was deplored on the floor of Congress by Representative Mo Brooks of Alabama, a reactionary and racist Republican.

Rear Admiral Chuck Gaouette was the commander of the USS Stennis carrier battle group, currently stationed in the Arabian Sea, near Iran and other possible targets for aggression and/or Gulf of Tonkin provocations. Gaouette is currently being investigated for “inappropriate leadership judgment” while on station in the Middle East.

Brigadier General Jeffrey Sinclair, second in command of the 82nd Airborne Division stationed at Fort Bragg, North Carolina, and a key man for Afghanistan logistics, is accused of raping and having an adulterous affair with a female captain he had gotten transferred to his command. The prosecution has already sabotaged its own case, raising the chances that the case will be thrown out of court, while charges of pornography and alcoholism on duty may have been invented, pointing once again to a political motive. Press accounts feature Sinclair’s assertion, “I’m a general. I’ll do whatever the [expletive] I want.”

Commander Joseph E. Darlak, commanding officer of the frigate USS Vandegrifft and two other senior officers having been removed after a drunken orgy during a visit to the port of Vladivostok, Russia. Details are sketchy, but the goal of the escapade might well have been a provocation against the Putin government. According to one account, over 20 top naval officers have been fired during 2012.

Christopher E. Kubasik was fired as president and Chief Operating Officer of Lockheed Martin Corp., the top US defense contractor in 2008 and 2009. Lockheed Chairman Rob Stevens had allegedly requested an ethics investigation, which revealed a sexual affair with a subordinate. Lockheed’s electronic warfare and cyber warfare capabilities are formidable.

Naturally, it is impossible to know at this time how many of these cases are actually based on the reasons stated, and how many actually involve complicity with operations targeting the White House.

On the Thursday after the presidential vote, Defense Secretary Panetta ordered Joint Chiefs of Staff Chairman General Martin Dempsey, an ally of Obama, to conduct a wide-ranging review of misconduct by senior military officers. The general public is supposed to think that this review will be mainly concerned with wrongdoing such as adultery, sexual harassment, embezzlement, and the like. But the reality is most likely a purge of officers associated with the pro-Romney coup machinations of September-October 2012.

With all these figures removed, it is likely to be more difficult for Israel’s Netanyahu to launch his war against Iran in the way that had been planned. He has therefore fallen back on the option of starting a smaller war in Gaza as a means of stabilizing the US-UK-Israel war party while other options are sought. The rogue network, now a wounded beast, must be counted doubly dangerous.

    The Mata Haris

Mata Hari’s method was to seduce French generals and send their secrets to Berlin. The cover story for Petraeus’ ouster involves his affair with Paula Broadwell, who fraternized extensively with the general in Afghanistan while she was preparing a fawning campaign biography of the general entitled All In: The Education of General David Petraeus — not to be confused with Flaubert’s L’Education sentimentale.

Broadwell is a lieutenant colonel of military intelligence with a background at the Joint Special Operations Command and, according to some accounts, a knowledge of Arabic.

She says she has a top secret security clearance “and then some.” She has hobnobbed at the Obama White House and with Karl Rove. By all indications, and whether she knew it or not, she was deployed to embroil Petraeus with a view to bringing him down, and she succeeded. When the dalliance became known to the FBI and thence leaked to GOP Congressmen Reichert and Cantor, Petraeus was told he had to resign by intelligence czar James Clapper, a creature of Obama.

Jill Kelley and her twin sister Natalie Khawam are also redolent of the intelligence community. Their focus was evidently to lead both Petraeus and Allen onto the flypaper.

The Rogue Network Down but Not Out

The US rogue network has been exceptionally active since the attacks of September 11, 2001 in which the rogues were heavily implicated. In the spring of 2007, Vice President Dick Cheney argued unsuccessfully for an attack on Syria on behalf of the rogue network whose spokesman he was. In August-September 2007, a B-52 bomber loaded with six nuclear cruise missiles was in effect hijacked by the rogue network — taken out of legal US command — and flown from North Dakota to Louisiana, presumably on its way to a bombing mission in the Middle East. The B-52 was stopped at Barksdale AFB in Louisiana. Months later, Defense Secretary Robert Gates fired Secretary of the Air Force Michael W. Wynne and Air Force Chief of Staff T. Michael Moseley for poor management of nuclear weapons. A special board under James R. Schlesinger studied nuclear safety, and doubtless also whom to fire. For knowledgeable observers, a window into the rogue network had been opened.

On Christmas Day, 2009, the Nigerian underwear bomber Mutallab attempted to blow up a passenger airliner in the skies over Detroit. During the first week of January, Richard Wolffe of MSNBC reported that the Obama White House had concluded that certain federal officials had acted to prevent Mutallab’s operation from being shut down because they wanted to damage the Obama administration. Still later, Undersecretary of State Patrick Kennedy told a House committee that the State Department had wanted to revoke Mutallab’s visa, but had been prevented from doing so by another (unnamed) federal agency, under the pretext that the Nigerian suicide bomber was being tailed. The Obama administration cravenly backed off further public investigation of this incident, allowing the rogue network to strike again in Benghazi.

(All these events are described on Tarpley.net )

ORCA: Why the Pro-Romney Vote Fraud Did Not Materialize

The purge of so many Romney supporters from the intelligence community and from the military may explain why the expected computer-generated Republican election fraud failed to materialize in the expected dimensions in so many states. Tagg Romney and his associates, many of them investors in Bain Capital, had notoriously bought control of voting machines in almost a score of states, including Ohio. What frustrated the design to steal the election? Perhaps this operation was disrupted and aborted by investigations conveniently timed and targeting some of the main pro-Romney intelligence and military figures in the rogue network.

The answer may also be related to the apparent failure of ORCA, Romney’s data-mining and data management operation, which was supposed to help GOP volunteers get out the vote, but which may have possessed additional and more sinister dimensions. But, as David Gewirtz of ZDNet wrote on November 13, ORCA “got harpooned. ORCA beached. It flopped. It died in the sun. It failed oh-so-bad.” And with it failed the hope of Romney’s backers that they could seize the White House.
The current scandals are extraordinary because they cast light on the rogue network or invisible government of the United States, a topic which is usually strictly taboo for the mass media. For this reason, David Ignatius of the Washington Post, considered close to the intelligence community, is already a warning that it is time to call a halt.

Sunlight, Ignatius warns, can be “toxic under the wrong circumstances.”

“For a reminder of why it’s dangerous, take a look at The Crucible and the Lessons of History,” Ignatius concludes. (David Ignatius, “A Modern Witch Hunt,” Washington Post, November 18, 2012) In other words, time to stop the purges before they threaten to engulf the entire rogue network and thus the entire establishment.

Patriotic citizens and those who want peace, by contrast, must hope that the revelations go on and on.
