At the beginning of the week, we asked readers to tell us their best line wrapping up 2011.

We even offered a line to get people started. It's from a Chronicle letter writer about the failure of Congress to act on important legislation this year:


"We should elect 535 illegal immigrants to the House and Senate because they will do the jobs Americans don't want to do," he quipped.


So far, we've gotten 15 responses, although some writers got a little tangled up in personalities.
