Members of Congress Bashing Me Online Over Illegal Alien Reporting
I've got a weird situation. Two members of Congress are bashing me online and one of them says he is writing a letter to the Department of Justice in a effort to shut down my website. The website is IllegalAlienReport.com and it was featured in The Huffington Post yesterday.
In response I've asked Rep. Joe Crowley to leave us alone, but my business partner I fear has taken things a bit further. IAR is a prototype for a site being built with the goal of combining Craigslist and Facebook like features with free speech friendly policies the likes of which neither have. He thinks that this latest feud with Crowley and another member of Congress could be a good opportunity to test out the final product by targeting them specifically. The final product is nowhere near ready and he thinks it could change government, but his rhetoric is too extreme even for me. He thinks that if Crowley persists that he should be "removed from office before his term is up" because his removal would assure the future of people to engage in free speech.
I agree with my friend on many things including the final goal of the project, but I don't think enlisting the help of people in foreign countries for the purpose of administering assets is enough to protect him the way he thinks it would. He thinks if he keeps his servers, domains, and money offshore that he can do whatever he wants.

Your website should be called the "Spam Report". Why not just provide clear functionality without all the ads?

The website IllegalAlienReport.com doesn't seem to be online right now. I hope there is no problem.

The IllegalAlienReport.com application pool keeps crashing and my hosting company doesn't seem to be able to find a solution beyond making it able to load slowly. Its either due to traffic from a lot of legitimately disappointed users or a DDoS attack on that site specifically. I gave it a dedicated application pool and that helped other sites it was sharing a pool with get back online just fine, but IAR is still having problems.
As for Crowley I fell in love with him yesterday when he plugged the site on MSNBC, so we are not nearly as pissed and the developer only wants to see minor mischief thrown his way. By minor he means that Crowley should find it agitating unless he leaves his office and agrees not to go back in there. The developer thinks it would be funny to see him forced out of his office and made to serve out the rest of his term in the hallway.
Oh and stop bashing the ads. Would you suggest that I purposefully deny myself easy money? Are you insane? At least I try to make the ads as non-intrusive as possible.

I dont have a problem with your ads, but this should not be about easy money. We are fighting to save our nation from an illegal alien invasion here and the cause should be the main consideration in anything that is done.
You can't engage on this level unless you can get your site back up so I suggest you switch hosting providers and do a DNS change fast otherwise everyone is going to think the US Government took you down and for all you know they have. And if they have, we need to know fast before they move on to bigger fish.
Also, there is a legal way you can deal with their accusation that you are violating the rights of private citizens. Ive helped another site in the past alleviate this tactic by the invasion supporters.
Give me a call on the ALIPAC lines if you want my suggestions on how you can give that a try.
