The border is completely safe. So say President Barack Obama, Representative Nancy Pelosi, Senator Harry Reid and others who support the wave of illegal immigrants entering the United States.
A new report from the southern border, however, suggests otherwise.
Shots rang out Friday night in Rincon Peninsula, Texas, forcing U.S. border patrol agents to take cover. The shots originated from south of the Rio Grande River and according to Border Patrol sources they came from a high-powered .50 caliber rifle.
Based on what agents witnessed next, according to Texas State Representative Louie Gohmert, this wasn’t just random fire.

“When the shooting stopped, about 40 to 50 people came out on the U.S. side and turned themselves in. So clearly the rounds were being fired to suppress every effort to stop anybody intervening with anyone or anything coming across,” Gohmert added. “We have no idea what or how many or whom came across with the other illegal immigrants.”
Sources said they believe the gunfire came from members of Mexican drug cartels, which include former military members trained in shooting that type of weaponry.
Border Patrol sources said the rounds were clearly identifiable because .50- caliber weapons make a distinctive noise when fired. Sources said they also believe this is the first time that Border Patrol agents have taken direct fire from the Mexican side of the river in this area.
“I don’t know why we’re out here like sitting ducks,” one Border Patrol source said. “We need help.”

The shooting has prompted fears that Mexican drug cartels, known to be extremely dangerous and responsible for over 75,000 deaths in the drug war that has plagued the country for the last seven years, are now bringing their brand of violence into the United States via the unsecured 3000-mile southern border.
According to Karl Denninger of the Market Ticker, there is only one way to describe what’s happening, especially now that suppressing fire is being laid down for migrants trying to make their way into the U.S.

Good thing the shooters are pretty bad shots or we’d have some dead agents.
Further, as soon as the shooting stopped a few dozen “people” (note the word invaders is not used) came out on the US side and turned themselves in — so it appears the intention of the barrage was suppressive fire (that is, to make the agents put their head down so they can’t see) while the invaderscame across.

Yes, folks, invaders.

What do you call it when an armed force lays down suppressive fire across a border so that their people can come in?
That is an act of war (shooting) and an invasion.

Though the actions of Mexican Drug cartels are not necessarily state-sponsored, the Mexican government has done little to stop the flood of tens of thousands of people using their northern border as a corridor for illegal immigration. They are complicit in these activities by allowing government transport of migrants via trains, producing flyers with instructions on how to illegally cross the border, and refusing to mobilize Mexican police and military to secure their side of the border.
Now, with Mexican drug cartels opening fire on U.S. law enforcement agents and in many cases shooting at private American citizens, the events unfolding on the border are nothing short of an armed invasion.
President Obama recently claimed that the border was more secure today than at any time in the last twenty years.
U.S. border patrol agents taking fire from high powered military rifles would probably disagree.
If the President of the United States fails to perform his sworn duty, which is to defend the borders of the United States of America, then it is only a matter of time before the extreme drug violence taking place in Mexico makes its way to the streets of America.

U.S. Border Patrol agents on the American side of the Rio Grande were forced to take cover Friday night when high-caliber weaponry was fired at them from the Mexican side of the river, sources told FoxNews.com.
The weapons were fired at the U.S. side of the riverbank in the area of the Rincon Peninsula across the Rio Grande from Reynosa, Mexico, at about 8:30 p.m., sources said. Bullets ricocheted into an area where Border Patrol agents were positioned, Rep. Louie Gohmert, R-Texas, told FoxNews.com.

Now, it is important for Congress to cover the border with military troops so that the border patrol has protection, back-up and can carry on their border duties. Armed drones probably are required. If congress will not protect our border patrol, or offer dependable health care for veterans, what he hell good are they, stop paying them send them home! Get up a petition to bar them from serving, cut off their medical and retirement benefits.

Some times a rat infestation is large enough to smell. Ratcans are in the capitol and can be smelled, phew, what a bunch!

The Rio Grande sector has been the busiest part of the 2,000-mile border with Texas in recent months as a surge of illegal immigrants, many from Central America, has poured in to the U.S. in the mistaken belief that U.S. policy allows for them to remain in America once they make it in. More than 60,000 unaccompanied children had crossed in the last nine months. But Border Patrol officials have warned that the deluge has left the border largely unattended, and vulnerable to cartel infiltration.

With regards to the growing war between Israel and Hamas, the Obama position has been and remains telling Israel to be careful not to kill too many of the aggressors trying to destroy them,–the only democratic country in the Middle East. Over the years, it has become painfully obvious that Obama’s foreign policy consists of replacing all Islamic Shia countries with Islamic Sunnis. After all, his supposed family is Sunni and its members are Muslim Brotherhood; that same Muslim Brotherhood is now largely–in de facto modality–running and ruling over the US government. Anything else non-domestic doesn’t really interest the faux POTUS. He was primed for and hired by his masters to destroy America…annihilate it…and he’s done his job well. But, the complete destruction of the USA is tiresome to him and rather a bother. And he does, after all, have a one-month vacation in August coming up. Priorities must be set!

Eric Holder and the lion’s share of Congressional Democrats still try to downplay the despicable behaviors of Lois Lerner, apparently many if not most of the IRS agents and now the FEC in their attempts to kill free speech for conservatives and those of non-Islamic religions…especially Christians and Jews. Obama and his syndicate have not followed US law and have been actively suppressing (and trying to find ways to imprison) their opposition since entering what was once our White House. So, why would they start now?
The Obama syndicate is now in all-out dismantling-of-the-USA push and does not intend to be stopped by anyone. Past experience tells them that no one will even really try to do so. Besides, they’ve been getting away with treason–and no consequences for their actions–on an almost daily basis since Obama usurped the Office of POTUS.

BP: Shots heard in Mexico were not directed at Border Patrol agents

Reports have surfaced that shots were fired from the Mexican side at US Border Patrol agents.

Action 4 News reached out to US Border Patrol and they confirm shots were fired south of Granjero.

The incident happened on July 18th around 8:00 in the evening.

“Shots were not directed at agents,” according to Border Patrol Spokesperson Omar Zamora.

However, Fox News reported, "Bullets ricocheted into an area where Border Patrol agents were positioned, Rep. Louie Gohmert, R-Texas, told FoxNews.com."

Border patrol agents are always advised to “utilize their ballistic vests and work in teams,” Border Patrol said.

Action 4 News will provide further information once further details are released.
