    I used to live in south Florida so I know a little about HOT and HUMID.
    (That was back when I was a kid and other people decided where I lived.)

    It was 105 here today. About an hour and a half ago the wind kicked up suddenly and then the power went out. Thank goodness it didn't go out during the heat of the day! I'm running on battery and dial up til the battery goes dead or I fall asleep- whichever comes first.

    Yea! What the heck! We got hit with 50+ mph straight winds. Last thing we need now is our fragile power grid being blown around.

    With an expected heat index of 115 tomorrow and red air quality alerts around our cities... any major power outages and some people are going to die in this heat.

    Lets hope these freak winds leave our power up.

    Don't know how, but we seemed to have missed the winds. Very thankful not to lose electricity when it's THIS hot!

    Was hot and humid here. I spent the day in our blow up pool. LOL Sat back with my book and lounged in the cold water. Heaven!
