Thread: New poll in San Francisco Chron on illegal immigration

If anybody's interested, theres a new poll in the San Francisco Chronicle on illegal immigration: "Which measure against illegal immigration will be most effective?" www.sfgate.com/polls

With 1045 votes in, 80% felt that one or all three of these measures would help stop illegal immigration, and only 20% thought that all three measures were "unfair." YEAH!! Though I couldn't help noticing that of the three reccomended anti-illegal immigrant "measures," one of them wasn't: DEPORT THEM!! DEPORT THEM!! DEPORT THEM!! Oh well. Apparently the Chronicle has been getting deluged with letters on the subject. Yesterday, May 3, they printed a record FOUR anti-illegal immigration letters-to-the-editor. My favorite -- which should be sent to EVERY liberal pro-illegal immigration newspaper editor in the country -- stated in response to yet another pro-illegal immigration editorials from the Chron editors: "I'm wondering how the (Chronicle's) editorial would have read if our state were being flooded with undocumented newspaper editors willing and able to do your jobs at a fraction of your salaries." HAH! Chronicle head-editor Phil "Mr. Sharon Stone" Bronstein had better watch out! Of course on the other side of the page amongst the paid hack Opinion writers -- under the headline "OPEN FORUM: REFORMING IMMIGRATION POLICY" -- they did sort of a point/counterpoint where one writer reccomended completely open borders, and the other writer reccomended sort of completely open borders. So, as usual, the Chronicle is giving us both sides of the issue. But at least its an improvement over the old days, where, for 20 years, the Chronicle editors defined the issue of immigration as either a.) you're for completely open borders and endless millions of immigrants, or b.) you're a racist, hateful, xenophobic bigot. But even the Chronicle knows they can't get away with that horse crap any more and that those days are over. The fact that they have to resort to racial hyperbole just reveals the weakness of their position and their sorry-ass failure to deal with the substance of the issue. My thanks to everyone who wrote into the Chron and made their feelings known.

I would have gladly voted for deporting them.

The Chronicle has started a new poll about "the decline in Governor Schwartzenner's popularity." I'm sure they'll try to spin this as propaganda that supposedly shows the "backlash" against his illegal immigration comments. Even as the public whole-heartedly supports him on that issue. But the Chron never lets obvious facts get in the way of their pro-illegal immigrant proselytizing. Show your support by voting for Arnold.

Hi Ace. Typical media spin--and exactly why I came to despise working for a major American newspaper. They are not about reporting factually, they are about funneling everything into their stale 60's hippie crapola. Arnold's popularity is dropping because of his remarks? I find that incredibly hard to believe. I'll bet people are starting to respect him for growing a backbone. Better late than never,

People outside the media have no idea what goes on at newspapers. Each paper has certain set individuals who give say the Latino viewpoint, the gay community viewpoint, the black viewpoint, ect. These clowns never reflect the views of the people on the streets. In fact, take a look at that BlueLatino site and notice how few hits that idiotic site is getting. And yet, this clown speaks for Latinos! And remember when LaRaza, which speaks once again for ALL LATINOS (hee hee) picketed the John and Ken Show? 7 people showed up! That's it. Yet LaRaza and its racists are constantly contacted to give their circle jerk views on all "Latino" issues. If you have brown skin and aren't a drooling racist, nobody's interested.

Was reading the comments sections of a recent budget dilemna article at SFgate which very much reinforces some of what occurred in the poll referenced above...

Interspersed throughout all the comments are notes regarding the impact of illegals and welfare and out of control spending in regards to the budget...each comment getting a thumbs up rating as opposed to thumbs down. In some, it is sarcastically noted how the obvious elephant in the corner (illegals) is being ignored and instead a budget that punishes everyone is proposed...

Now here we are talking about the liberal rag SFgate (The Chron) right smack in the middle of "Bagdhad by the Bay" as a local talk show hosts calls it - liberal tax and spend paradise center of California - and you get these comments with positive ratings by other commentators.

It is a strong indicator that reinforces what William said awhile back - we are winning.

The movement may not be highspread - the MSM and the party elites are doing everything they can to stomp it down - but it is WIDESPREAD. Not just in conservative demographics - but everywhere.

Take a heart folks...it's good news.
