Obama Administration trying to erase God from the present culture

The claims have been numerous. Many groups have claimed that the Obama administration is hostile to Christianity. Some accusations have bordered on the absurd ("Obama is a Muslim"? If he is, he's very bad at keeping the tenets of his faith!), while others have been obvious to any who care to reasonably consider ("Obama's Health Care Plan makes provisions that run afoul of Biblical morality.") With five year's worth of actions and statements under his belt, one thing is certain ... Mr. Obama has a lot to answer for. It's not looking good from any stretch of the Christian imagination - if Mr. Obama ever was a Christian, he is now in full free-fall from the faith. The facts insinuate that the current administration is methodically trying to remove God from the current culture. It is no longer as simple as a "prayer in the public schools" issue - now it is the equivalent of a civil felony for a military chaplain to proselytize if it makes the hearer "uncomfortable".

There were warnings early on. It was April of 2008 - prior to his first election - when Mr. Obama was campaigning and made the statement that Christians “cling to guns or religion” and have an “antipathy to people who aren't like them.” Since becoming president, he has at least seven times made speeches in which he quoted the Declaration of Independence, but left out the reference to "the Creator". In November of 2010, he stated that the national motto is "E Pluribus Unum", when in fact it is "In God we trust." In three out of four Thanksgiving addresses, he has noticeably left out any reference to God.
In a case that ended in January of 2012, the Obama Administration argued that churches and synagogues do not have the right to hire or fire their own leaders. Most recently, in February of 2013, the Administration announced that the rights of religious conscience for individuals will not be respected or protected under the Affordable Care Act.
The removal of God from the military has been even more obvious. In June of 2011, the Department of Veterans Affairs forbade any references to God or Jesus during burial ceremonies at Houston National Cemetery. Three months later, the Army decided that no religious items (that includes Bibles) are permitted to be given away as gifts or even used at Walter Reed Medical Center! While they were doing this, the Air Force was shelling out $80,000 to build a worship center for pagans and Wiccans at the Air Force Academy.
Even just words like "God" or Bible references are considered grounds for new policy in the military. In February of 2012, The Air Force removed “God” (Latin word "Dei") from the patch of the Rapid Capabilities Office, and in April 2013, the Army directed that all scopes which had Bible references forged into them needed to have the reference scratched out and painted over. Imagine how many man-hours were spent trying to rub out a reference to these words: “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.” (John 8:12)
In February of 2012, Catholic Archbishops sent letters to be read to all parishioners, concerning the Affordable Care Act and the Catholic stance of opposition to it. The Army ordered Catholic Chaplains to not read that letter. Three months after this, the Obama administration opposed legislation that would protect military chaplains from having to violate their consciences by performing same-sex marriages.
In April of 2013, the Air Force decided to create a new religious tolerance policy. In doing so, they consulted a very intolerant man who has described military personnel who are religious as "spiritual rapists" and "human monsters". He has also stated that soldiers who proselytize are guilty of treason and sedition and should be punished to prevent a "tidal wave of fundamentalists." And just this month, an Air Force officer was made to remove his Bible from his desk, because it might be considered condoning a specific faith.
In the relentless march to this new Communist-style Enlightenment, the Obama Administration has even deliberately and without second thought broken Federal law. The Defense of Marriage Act is still the law of this land, yet in 2009 the Obama Administration broke that law by extending federal benefits to same-sex partners of Executive Branch employees. In September 2010 the Obama Administration told researchers to ignore a judge's decision to stop federal funding for embryonic stem cell research. In February of 2011 the Department of Justice was directed by Mr. Obama to stop enforcing the Defense of Marriage Act. In September of that same year, the Pentagon decided - again in spite of Federal law - that military chaplains may perform homosexual marriages at military facilities. It is apparent that the executive branch is overstepping its bounds and shows a contempt for laws that should restrain their actions.
This is just a small sample of the many times Mr. Obama or his administration has ignored, insulted, or transgressed Christianity. It has been disrespected, criminalized in some ways, and Mr. Obama has shown that he would even like to rewrite history and the historic documents of this nation if it would push his godless agenda forward. Hopefully, when responsible citizens of this nation stop to look at the whole picture they will be able to see his vision of the future, and reject it outright.
