Pantano Releases NEW RouzerForAmnesty.com Ad
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Pantano Releases NEW RouzerForAmnesty.com Ad; Highlights Rouzer’s Work Collecting Money From Special Interests to Lobby For Amnesty For Illegal Aliens
Conservative Wilmington Republican Points Out Rouzer’s Record on Fundraising from Lobbyists, Advocating Amnesty for Illegal Aliens, and His Opposition to Term Limits
WILMINGTON, NC – This Valentines Day, Conservative Wilmington Republican Ilario Pantano, the son of a legal immigrant to the United States, released his second ad of the 2012 campaign cycle, pointing out that the only people getting any love from career politician and lobbyist David Rouzer are the special interests that have business before committees in the State Senate. The ad notes that Rouzer has used a loophole in the campaign finance law to raise money from lobbyists, that he continually advocates for amnesty for illegal aliens, and that he opposes term limits.
The :60 ad, entitled “Baggage,” pokes fun at the long journey Raleigh politician David Rouzer is making to southeastern North Carolina, in his bid to return to Washington. Senator Rouzer previously worked inside the Beltway as a lobbyist, where his work included advocacy on behalf of the 2007 AgJOBS Act, which would have granted amnesty to 3.3 million immigrants residing in the U.S. illegally. Not a single Republican Congressman from North Carolina supported the bill, and the conservative Heritage Foundation called the AgJobs Act, “Immigration Amnesty Revived.”
The ad also highlights Senator Rouzer’s questionable fundraising tactics – which exploit a loophole in North Carolina’s campaign finance law to allow him to raise money from lobbyists – as well as Rouzer’s recent comments regarding his opposition to term limits, and Rouzer’s failing ratings from the conservative Civitas Institute.
Ilario Pantano, an author, businessman, and veteran of two wars said the following: “Republicans in southeastern North Carolina have a clear choice between a consistent, proven, conservative fighter and a lobbyist who has been part of the problem in Washington once and now wants another shot at it. The polls clearly show that the more the seventh district gets to know Rouzer and his record, the less they want him representing them in Congress.”
Pantano continued: “Rouzer’s willingness to cash a paycheck to push amnesty for illegal aliens makes me wonder what else he would push for a $5,000 PAC check in Washington.”
“Baggage” comes on the heels of Senator Rouzer’s comments in the Fayetteville-Observer conceding he has “significant ground” to make up in the race for the Republican nomination. Pantano recently released a campaign poll showing him with a 48 percent to 21 percent lead over Rouzer, which the Fayetteville-Observer deemed “commanding.”

"BAGGAGE": Rouzer lobbied for AMNESTY and is against Term Limits.
Uploaded by RouzerForAmnesty on Feb 13, 2012
2012 is too important to risk sending a career politician to Washington. Rouzer has been paid big bucks to lobby for liberal policies like AMNESTY. Amnesty for Illegal aliens hurts the citizens of North Carolina and the nation.
Amnesty also betrays the conservative movement: Who will these illegals vote for if given a chance? That is why Clinton, Kennedy, Feinstein and Obama were all on board for Rouzer's Amnesty plan. Now, the same special interests that paid Rouzer to lobby for Amnesty are bankrolling Rouzer's campaign. See for yourself at FEC.GOV

Pantano will go after liberals in BOTH parties
Pantano Receives the Support of ALIPAC and NCFIRE, Two of the Largest Advocacy Groups for Border Security & the Enforcement of Our Nation’s Immigration Laws
Wilmington, NC: Today, ALIPAC and NCFIRE, two of the largest advocacy groups for border security and enforcement of our nation’s immigration laws, announced their support for Conservative Republican Ilario Pantano in the upcoming election for North Carolina’s 7thCongressional District. Both groups also expressed their displeasure with Pantano’s opponent David Rouzer’s support for Amnesty for illegal aliens.
“I am honored to receive the support of both ALIPAC and NCFIRE,” Pantano said upon learning today’s news. “Both of these groups do a great job here in NC and across the nation fighting against Amnesty, for secure borders, and for the enforcement of our nation’s immigration laws. As the next Congressman from the 7th District, I look forward to working with these groups to ensure that our Nation secures our borders, cracks down on illegal immigration, and never gives US citizenship away to someone who has entered our Country illegally.”
Statement from William Gheen, President of ALIPAC, endorsing Ilario Pantano on behalf of ALIPAC and it’s many members across North Carolina and the United States
“ALIPAC is proud to endorse Conservative Republican Ilario Pantano in the race for North Carolina’s 7th District. Pantano is the only candidate in the race for the 7th District that we know that we can trust to stand firm against illegal immigration. Ilario is a true leader and someone we can count on in the fight against amnesty for illegals. He’s the only candidate in the race committed to securing the border, enforcing and strengthening our immigration laws, punishing employers who knowingly employ illegal immigrants, and fighting Amnesty in all forms”
“Ilario’s primary opponent, David Rouzer, likes to talk a good game about securing the border and fighting illegal immigration, however his record shows that is not true. In reality, Rouzer has been a paid advocate for Amnesty for illegals working alongside such open border pro-Amnesty liberals like Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton, and Diane Feinstein. 80% of Americans agree that Rouzer is wrong on Amnesty and he’s wrong for the 7th District. A pro-Amnesty Congressman like Rouzer is the last thing the 7th District needs.”
Americans for Legal Immigration PAC, found at www.ALIPAC.us is a national organization comprised of citizens of every race, party, and walk of life who represent the 80% of Americans who oppose illegal immigration and Amnesty as evidenced in most recent polls. Founded on 9/11/2004, ALIPAC has quickly grown to become the third largest national organization addressing these issues.
Statement from James Johnson, Founder & President of NCFIRE, expressing NC FIRE’s support for Ilario Pantano’s strong stance against illegal immigration and against amnesty for illegal aliens:
NCFIRE is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and as such, we cannot endorse political candidates however, we strongly agree with Ilario Pantano's stance against illegal immigration and against amnesty for illegal aliens.
We have determined that Ilario, a Marine veteran of two wars, is dedicated to the enforcement of our immigration laws and keeping our citizens safe.
We cannot agree with Ilario's opponent, David Rouzer and his position of being a paid lobbyist and supporter of the AG Jobs Act which would give amnesty to 3.3 million illegal aliens.
We encourage the citizens of North Carolina's 7th Congressional District to take a good look at Ilario Pantano's position on illegal immigration, when making their choice in the upcoming primary in May.
Visit PantanoForCongress.com to find out why Ilario Pantano, the son of a Legal Immigrant from Italy, is the perfect champion in the fight against illegal immigration. Pantano’s family is living proof that immigration can be done safely and legally and that when citizenship is earned it is cherished. That is why Pantano defended his country is two wars and is seeking to defend her again in the US Congress today.
Do you want to see a pro-Amnesty lobbyist as a U.S. Congressman...If a man sneaks into your home he is a burglar, not an undocumented tenant you must provide for!
