Republican Party Census And My Response!

I received this questionnaire from the Republican Party asking for money, here is my response. The envelope provided is no postage necessary so it’s on their dime.

On the back I wrote No Huckabee No McCain No Guliane No Amnesty!

    I love it!!

Wouldn't you love to be a fly on the wall just to see the reaction by those receiving it?

Wonder how many messages of disapproval these folks have been getting these days?

I don't know for sure, but my guess is that those surveys when returned go to some processing center where the only question looked at, if any, is the one that has the check mark boxes to indicate how much money you're sending. Then the whole survey is thrown into the garbage by some minimum wage worker -- they probably don't even recycle it. I usually get three or four surveys or petitions a week from non-profits that supposedly are working to end illegal immigration, or make English the official language, or stopping the NAU, or something or other along those line. Most of those mailings are deceptive from the get go with a bunch of hype about the great expense the organization went to in sending me the super-duper secret air express pak (or something) which is nothing more than a bulk-rate mailing with a bunch of nonsense printed on the envelope. I think many of these non-profits (not all) were formed more along the lines of finding a cause to use to get money rather than getting money for a cause they believe in. Anyway, I don't see how signing their petitions or filling out their surveys and RUSHING (it's always rushing) a contribution to them will change anything other than my bank account. By the way, typically if you do donate then that will just cause an avalanche of mail from that non-profit asking for more money. The practice irritates me because they suck money away from legitimate/effective organizations and I think it also causes people not to get involved when it results in their mailbox being stuffed with junk mail -- or even worse, they are attempting to scare older people into thinking that if they don't donate the nation will disintegrate. I don't doubt that the nation is disintegrating, but rushing money to these non-profits won't save it. Thanks for the opportunity to get a pet peeve off my chest.

Spector is definitely for amnesty. I've received numerous letters in response to phone calls opposing his position on recent legislative action and all he does is to continue to push for comprehensive immigration reform, aka, amnesty. He voted for S2611 in 2006 and to invoke cloture on S1639 in 2007.

Ensign voted against both of those measures.
