Research help needed
Question for AP Reporter.
How many public ballot initiatives, besides the Oregon initiative petition 19, are still in play or possible in the country this year?
How many are still trying to gather signatures?

So you are interested only in those that needed public signatures to be placed on the ballot?

Most of our immigration enforcement initiatives succeed if they ever make the ballot. The problem is in the massive amount of signatures it takes to get on the ballot. Volunteers are not enough.
I was told today that a public ballot initiative in Arkansas had failed to get the amount of signatures they needed before the deadline.
We tried to help in both Oregon in Arkansas.
I need to know if there are any other ballot initiatives regarding illegal immigration that are still alive meaning they are still racing to get signatures or they have made their mark. Or all of them dead in the water except for Oregon?

From what I could see in CA there are no initiatives for anti-immigration.

Research help
In the primaries here in Texas, the Republican ballot had a question about voter ID. This passed with something like 90% approval. Don't think it will be on the Nov. ballot and I was told it was not on the primary Democratic ballot.
This is at least the 2nd time voters have overwhelmingly supported voter ID but somehow it gets killed by State Legislature.
Is this the kind of story you want? It does prove that Texas is not interested in doing anything to limit possible illegal votes.
I am still searching for Official Published reports of illegals self deporting from Texas.

We are somewhat silently working on drafting two separate ones at SOS. These would be municipal rather than statewide, so the threshold would be lower. Adaptability is sought for that though. Also, although one is local, it has the potential to affect national. They are not in play as you are looking for. We're still drafting. we're soliciting for research help and drafting help, but in a limited fashion.
It will not be enough to send a letter. We will have to march on washington and dictate terms in the white house
