    RINO ALERT: Conservatives for CIR

    http://somosrepublicans.com/

This new RINO group is very much against SB 1070 and very much in favor of amnesty. And they call themselves conservatives

A few weeks back, they held a conference call with Pres. Vicente Fox, and other pro-amnesty zealots.

International Leaders Join Our 8th CfCIR Call, to Applaud the Partial Injunction of SB 1070 and to Discuss Comprehensive Immigration Reform

Washington, DC/Mexico/Guatemala, Wednesday, August 4th at 2:00 PM EDT (1:00pm CT, 11:00am PCT), Conservatives for Comprehensive Immigration Reform (CfCIR) will hold its first bilingual telephonic conference. Conservatives for Comprehensive Immigration Reform (CFCIR) is a broad coalition of conservative leaders, including some of the most prominent conservatives in the nation. We have come together to advocate for a just, moral and economically sound comprehensive immigration reform that is right for America and all Americans. This week, CfCIR will broaden its focus and hear from international leaders and community workers about the effects American immigration policies have at an international level, from both a greater geo-political standpoint, and from the perspective of faith and business communities around the globe.

The ruling handed down by U.S. District Judge Susan Bolton on July 28 temporarily blocking some of the most controversial parts of SB 1070 was a welcome victory on the international stage, but it does not solve the problems that inspired the law in the first place. Families are torn apart every day by our broken immigration system and we continue to treat those within our borders without the respect and dignity all human beings deserve. On the call, conservative strategist Juan Hernandez will moderate as we hear from the following speakers in both English and Spanish:

President Vicente Fox, (former President of Mexico), author of “The Revolution of Hope,â€

LatinoTalk reports on the CfCIR news conference involving former Presidents of Mexico & Guatemala
    By Lauro Garza
Conservatives for Comprehensive Immigration Reform (CfCIR) held its first bilingual telephonic conference Wednesday. CfCIR is a broad coalition of conservative leaders, including some of the most prominent conservatives in the nation. They came together to advocate for a just, moral and economically sound comprehensive immigration reform that is right for America and all Americans. Organizations like FAIR claim in their title that they favor the same but it is clear that they do not as they favor only the cessation of immigration to America.

CfCIR expanded its focus and heard from international leaders about the effects American immigration policies at an international level. The ruling handed down by U.S. District Judge Susan Bolton on July 28 temporarily blocking some of the most controversial and unconstitutional parts of SB 1070 was a welcome victory on the international stage. However, it does not solve the problems that inspired the law in the first place as families are torn apart every day by our broken immigration system and we continue to treat those within our borders without the respect and dignity all human beings deserve.

Former President of Mexico, Vicente Fox, spoke at length and pointed out the change in position of Senator John McCain who, possibly for personal advantage, reneged on his promises made to Mr. Fox in Mexico not so long ago. He continued with his elucidation that immigration and foreign policy are exclusive to the federal government in America and he advocated that it should remain so as it would "confuse" international relations which is never good. He also mentioned how it was "a crime" to separate families and it is deeply wrong to cause children to live in fear.

Other speakers in the tele-conference hosted by Dr. Juan Hernandez, were former President of Guatemala Arzu; Juan Gutierrez, leader of the PAN party of Guatemala; and Jenny Hwang of World Relief. These speakers focused on the serious perception by America's neighbors that America has lost much of its prestige and favor in this part of the world.

I asked how they will address this controversy and win this debate when the opposition, FAIR, Federation for American Immigration Reform, who radically opposes ALL immigration to America, utilizes and co-opts the very same language, "immigration reform" and "sensible immigration policy" as advocates for comprehensive immigration reform such as CfCIR, Texans for Sensible Immigration Policy and Somos Republicans.

I support enforcement and see its lack as bad for the 3rd World as well. Remittances are now mostly spent on consumption not production assets. Join our efforts to Secure America's Borders and End Illegal Immigration by Joining ALIPAC's E-Mail Alerts network (CLICK HERE)

    From their mission statement

"Our mission and goals are simple: Increase Hispanic GOP voter registration; Recruit Hispanic Precinct Committeemen; Promote Hispanic GOP candidates"

Sounds a bit racist to me
