Thread: Senate pulls refunds for illegals

They know it's hard to send a refund check to somebody when the social security number has been stolen.

On the other hand, if they receive the tax brake, they'll also receive a tax number and that number will automatically make them legal.

I've heard 2 or 3 reports now saying its dead but
nothing concrete in written print yet that I've seen

I hope you guys are right. I'm starting to think I'm in the middle of a nightmare. This can't possibly be happeing?!!!!

Just the idea that these Congranimals could even entertain this idea, scares the heck out of me....

We need to keep a list of the jokers that come up with these proposals and get them out of there on the next train. Mexico would be a good place to send them.

It might have been better if they kept it on the bill for a while just to remind all our Florida type Republican voters about illegal immigration and Mr. McCains views on that subject. Notice this did not hit the press until after the election...

We need to thank the congressmen who stepped up and whacked this thing out of the park. They put in a provision that limited the rebate (wealth redistribution) to people with a social security number. The dems will be too afraid of the backlash if they protest so I think we're safe on this one. (As usual, the illegals messed things up for legal immigrants.)

Well, I hate to rain on this parade, but Lou Dobbs just said that Ensign's amendment was tabled in committee which means it won't even reach the Senate floor for a vote.
