(Springfield, Virginia) English First today urged Governor Mike Huckabee to answer the following six questions regarding his record of preserving and protecting America’s linguistic unity:

    (5) In 2006, Congressman STEVE KING (R-Iowa) led an effort to eliminate mandatory multilingual ballots. Do you believe American elections should be conducted in English?

    (6) The Equal Employment Opportunity Commission has sued the Salvation Army over its requirement that Salvation Army employees must learn English and speak English on the job. Do you support the EEOC or the Salvation Army on this issue?

“Even Hillary Clinton says that immigrants should learn English. But the real issue is the language used in our public schools and voting booths,â€

Suppose it's too much to expect he will answer the questions.

The only sure bulwark of continuing liberty is a government strong enough to protect the interests of the people, and a people strong enough and well enough informed to maintain its sovereign control over the goverment.
