In Nevada we elect state delegates , they go through a local
convention to elect a whole state slate of delegates , who go to a state
convention to elect the 21 or whatever number delegates to the national
    convention

Ron Paul ended up with 35 % of the delegates out of 600 and something.. the others were split up between the other candidates. truth. The media really has NO clue who is going to get those delegates. AND if the frontrunner gets them..that doesn't mean he'll keep them. Especially in a brokered convention which is what will happen. Forget the popular vote..just like in the general election...ELECTORAL COLLEGE RULES. In primaries DELEGATES RULE.
Jazz, you seem to be a bit confused. RP won at least 1/3 200+ of the state delegates. Those delegates will get together later and vote on the national delegates. Those state delegates will vote to elect 18 national delegates. So Ron Paul did very well in the state, but the 200+ is not national delegates.

Ron Paul has quite a few more national delegates than the media reports, but it will only come about after the state conventions and the national convention.

Gosh, I guess a lot of people just do not like Ron Paul at all on this forum. I mean the guy is against illegal immigration. Isn't that what we want? If he runs as an independent, isn't that better than voting for Clinton or McCain? What more do you want? I guess you would'nt mind McCain.
