Taxpayers foot bill for illegal workers

Regarding "Business elite fight hiring law" (Republic, Friday):

Why would we be surprised by these business leaders' actions? Taxpaying citizens have been footing the bill for public education, social services and medical care for illegals for years while businesses hire illegals at minimum wage and achieve 40 to 50 percent profit margins on their businesses.

News flash to businesses: Democracy is at work! We are "mad as hell, and we're not going to take it anymore!"

So fight our laws and initiatives. I am taking careful note of businesses that support illegal hiring so that I can boycott. I suspect there are "armies" of me out there who feel the same way. - Dearel Friend,Sun City

I agree and I feel the same. I won't buy anything from someone that uses illegals at least that I know of.
