Why is Chuck Baldwin not on my ballot?

I noticed that the Harris County, Texas ballot does not mention Chuck Baldwin. I wonder why? Bob Barr is listed but if I plan to vote for Baldwin I will write his name in. I guess this is as the media says, a two candidate race.

I find it interesting that John McCain's name in on the top. If they were going by presidential candidate last names Bob Barr should be on top. If they were going in alphabetical order by party, Democrats should be at the top of the list, then Libertarian, then Republican, then Write In.
Okay, there may be nothing of a conspiracy theory here.

You might want to call the phone number (800) 252-VOTE referenced on the following link to confirm that Baldwin qualified to make the ballot as a write-in in Texas. It appears he did file the write-in papers, so the ballot access should be okay in Texas.

For example, Baldwin is NOT a qualified write-in in North Carolina, so even by writing in his name, the vote will be thrown out under the current system. Maybe that will affect your vote, but maybe not. Barr, McKinney, Nader, and even the Socialist Party of America qualified, so I don't know what happened to the Constitution Party this time around. It's a shame.

Aaargh! Why has the voting system become such a confusing mess, and what the pudding is the Electoral College still doing in the middle of this? We no longer need to gallop around the countryside, gathering votes and delivering them on horseback to the capitol. We have illegal aliens registered to vote, plus felons, and even Mickey Mouse (though that application was denied.) It should be one American citizen = one vote, and with the years since the Supreme Court, hanging and pregnant chads to the years of computer hacking and lost paper ballots, there should have been serious attention put on solving this--not three weeks before the general election.
What is embarassing is that Bush wanted to bring this system of democracy to the rest of the world.
The Socialist Party? Oh, I need another blood pressure pill.

I'd rather have Mickey Mouse vote than the other two you listed. At least Mickey Mouse is ALL AMERICAN and a law abiding, decent one to boot!

I just talked to the Constitution Party and they tell me that he did not get enough names on the petition in Texas to be listed on the ballot. So he can only be a write in candidate.

They did also tell me that if you live in a state where he is not listed that you have to write in not only Chuck Baldwin for President BUT Darryl Castle for Vice-President.
