Illegal Irish 'need Obama's help'

AN IRISH MEP has written to US President-elect Barack Obama to highlight that up to 50,000 undocumented Irish immigrants living in the US need his “political assistance now more than ever.â€

Seán Ó Neachtain, Fianna Fáil MEP for Ireland North and West, urged Mr Obama to consider introducing measures to allow undocumented and illegal Irish to remain in the US legally.

Such a move could never be justified without giving all illegal aliens an opportunity for legalization (amnesty). IMO, this is a non-starter. All illegal aliens need to return to wherever they came from and seek entry the correct way! We can't take care of all the worlds poor and we definitely can't harbor all those that want to come.

Countries need to take responsibility for their own!

I'm Irish and I find you unacceptable Mr. Seán Ó Neachtain, ... How many Illegal Aliens are in Ireland , how are they being treated. The point I am getting at is Illegal is Illegal is Illegal

The political Elite allowed this to occur to destabilize entire regions and this is what you get

It is time to put the blame where blame belongs... with the government

These people are only going to do what your politicians allow them to do

and right now that is to just "Run a muck"

Keep allowing your gooney, goo goo politicians to do nothing and this is what you get America

No way, just let them request like all other immigrants. Spanish versus Irish; the Latino are trying to get more into America. The Latino wants the United States only for themselves.

This is what we get with an open borders President and Congress. Everybody in the world thinks they can come here and we'll grant them amnesty. And there isn't 50,000 of them, there's 100,000.

Immigration is the last thing on Obama's list. He's got to do something about the economy, so don't look for any amnesties from him right away.

Arrest and deport them NOW!

Here we go! The day Obama is in office and the Democrats take over, everyone will have their hands out expecting help. Working American citizens will be expected to open their pockets to all of them.

What would happen if we all march down and announce our expatriation and insist on being only "common law" citizens of our states or counties?
